ok i got a few plants growin but the stems seem thin what can i di to get the stem or stalk thicker all plants look heathy and they are 2, 3 , and 4 weeks old

you might want to use a 6700k lighting to stiffen the stem.
also place a fan in there to blow on the plants, you want to mimic the environment.

Well, most folks use a fan blowing on them.It strengthens the stems, and helps to keep the plant from developing mildew or mold. What are you using for lights, how far away are they?

im kinda skimpy on my lights i have 3 100w grow lights and there is only 2 plants then light i got came from loes soo maybe i will try some kind od different light andy suggestions and to buy exact;y? i do have a fan in the grow area

Grow lights? What do you mean by grow lights? Are they the ones with the blue coating?

yea they have a blue coating is that bad cuz they seem to be doing good except small steam but they are getting a little thicker

those "grow lights" are probably trash when it comes to growing buds. if your plants are very tall with over 2 inches between nodes those are either incandescent or some flood light. either way those things pretty much suck. if you want a real light get HPS or MH. or if cash is an issue you can grow some decent bud with CFL's. when i started i had a REALLY crappy set up. i was using blue party lights, and flood lights from where i work. the plants were HORRIBLY stretched and failed.. then i got a decent cfl set up and it was smooth sailing.

thanks for the info i am very new to this so i am gong to try to get som better light , what kind of fixture do i need for those just anything that will hold a 100 watt bulb??

you should check the lighting section in the growfaq at the top of the page. again those 100watt growlights are probably crap. a picture could confirm that, either of the plants or the lights. what you will need to do is engineer a rig for some CFLs i think. or dish out a little cash for some HID lighting. as for how to build a rig if you go with CFLs, my advice is to take things from your surroundings and make of them a light. my light can house 20+cfls and 6 floro tubes, and its made of a large thick cardboard box, some wires, 6 basic light sockets and a lot of Y adapters. the point of that is you can make a light rig from damn near anything. personally if i had it to do again, i woulda just took all the money and effort i put into it and bought a decent HPS light.
there are MANY different ways to rig up your lights, see what you have at hand (supplies and cash), how big your space is, how many plants your tryin to grow and figure out what your optimum set up will be

If you can't get HID lights, get compact fluorescents.The ones you have now will make your buds stretched and stringy.

ok i got 2 40 clf's each one is 3050 lumens for a toltal of 7000 that should work hhuh

Lumens aren't what you're looking for.It's just how bright the visible light is to the human eye.You need to look at color temp. It tells you what color the light coming from the light is.You need blue light for veg, and red for flower.So The temp for the veg lights would be 6500k.These are also called cool white or daylight cfl's.For flower, you need redder color...2700k.These are called warm white and sometimes soft white.You will need A LOT. For each plant, as it grows,you will need to surround it with cfl's,because it will need more and more light to reach the lower leaves as it grows.Cfl's don't have a lot of light penetration;you have to keep them no more than a couple of inches away.That's why so many people prefer HID lights.You get more bang for your buck.https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=587 This part of the growfaq explains a little more about flouro's. If you can afford it, I'd say get a HID.Otherwise, you're gonna be running a lot of cfls.

do you think they will be alright? i have 14000 lumen lots and lots of daylight cfl's

For starters, they should be ok.Get those lights close.About an inch, or two. As they grow, surround them with more. Also, start your fan out on low,an a couple of feet away.Rotate the plants every day so they bend back and forth.As they get bigger, increase the speed till you're on high, then take the fan off of oscillation finally and put it right on em.My plant has two fans blowing DIRECTLY on her.Her stem is as fat as a quarter, and she's bushy and strong.

those lights are a start, you should really be shoot for the biggest cfls you can get. the 26watt (true watt) ones are what i run mostly, with a few 42 watters. but you are on the right path.

i have 4 80 watt cfl's on them now 3 4 ft flouro lights and 8 cfl lights i do have a fan blowing on them and i do rotate every 2 days so that 1 don't get more than the other but i do thank all of you for your help all lights i have on them are cool white and for later i have soft white for them for flowering stage

GOT ANOTHER QUESTION can i use floro tubes i have 3 4 ft floro tube and 4 cfl light for just 4 plants is that enough ??
