yes my bad sorry,, yes the main sip thread,, several of my sip grows can be found there in my sips and same grow box
actually I did see those and your original posts from 2017 when u first got it.. I realize now u mean those big Rubbermaid tote style sips. thats not exactly what im going for. I found one post on here where someone had same idea as me for bus tubs but no follow up post to know if it works. I think im going to have to take one for the team and try it out.

one other question i had, do u not do any top dressing? everything is preloaded? and no teas or anything?
exactly ,, no teas, nothing from the top,, if anything i would put your teas in the res, just so they are organic, salts cant be flushed in a sip,, but you have to watch out for your res getting nasty from adding to much,, but you could rinse a res,,, but dang, i would ask why?,, when these work so freakin good just water only,, put everything you need in the dirt from the starts,, and kick back smoke a joint and watch it grow,, i dont mix nutes,, i dont make teas,, i dont ph my water,, i dont ppm,,, non of it,, i gravitate towards easy,,, hey here is a pic from my last grow, water only the whole way,, same sip,, same light same boxgrowbox.jpg

right on. I love it. I am using the BAS Light mix soil now and my "teas" are just ewc + some horticultural coconut + on occasion liquid kelp that i mix using a magnetic stirrer for 12 hrs or so. not real ACT.

seems to keep them happy doing that once a week but I suppose I could just mix in more ewc when I pot them up and let them do their thing.

plants have been in the SIP for one week, they are still adusting to the SIP and the hot soil, my grow box isnt very tall, especially with all the equipment up top in the box, when you account for the exhaust fan, and the hieght of the sip,, i have about 4 feet of usable height, so training is neccasary, or an early flip,, I am doing like my last grow and today I laid them over about half way up, train wreck on the right snapped a little to hard, and broke thru the stem,, so it may heal it may not,, and if it doesnt heal its no biggie because i would just cut it off and proceed with standard mainlining,, sunset sherbet on the left bend over nice, and will be just fine,,, the spots on the leaves show up in the pics, but dont really show up to your eyes, I am keeping a close watch, i have seen powdery mildew several times and it wipes off if you drag your finger over it, this does not, they came from the cloner this way,, i have some green cure if needed,, and I may spray them at lights out when they snap out of the training ,, picsIMG_7648.JPGIMG_7649.JPGIMG_7650.JPGIMG_7651.JPGIMG_7652.JPG

its tie wire ,, yes just stab them thru the plastic and into the dirt a couple of inches,, as soon as the plant accepts the bend , i can pull them back out and reposition them

Training continues on my plants, Sunset sherbet on the left is really adusting well to the soil mix, I can see my first water roots on the sherbet, Trainwreck has been doing great the whole ride so far, now that water roots have reached the resevoir they should really take off, keeping the canopy level the plants are growing outward not upward , topped off the water resevoir, and I turned up the light power some this morning now that they have more leaves, going very well, IMG_7686.JPGIMG_7687.JPGIMG_7688.JPGIMG_7689.JPGIMG_7690.JPG

some thoughts i just shared with my friend about my grow so far,, props to @Humanrob
every single leaf on both plants is perfectly healthy, i was just sitting with them and wow, just spot on health, but heck all i am doing it giving them water, hahah, its all in the dirt, andi was like you wondering can these plants take this, they did on the last grow, my bigger thought was the bag soil, but its doing it thing better than i could have hoped, this grow is following the last grow almost to the letter,, i purchased very simular clones, and i bent them both about halfway over on the last grow and this one,, even the same direction of bend, but as i approach 4 weeks veg, the only time i vegged longer was when i did mainlining, and that was 5 weeks if not slightly more, the lower stem got a bit thicker, but the veg time was longer to the excessive hacking in the early going, there was no bigger yeild, in fact it was less, growing that way was really more like braggin rights that you could or something?? who knows, but it was fun to mainline but i wont again, this folding over of the store bought clones gives me more over all tops in less veg time,
So going forward i was looking at my situation and i thought,, humm, i could veg another week if i could center my Sip in the grow box, so i would need to cut my intake hose off, sure i would get light leak when the cobs were on,, but the timer would be 8 am on, and 8 pm off, heck it would line up with regular day light hours,, and i am not really on board with the light leak thing:>> but thats me, I suppose if was severe it would play into it, any how, So i will keep tieing them down and friday when i am off , i will reposition my timer, and cut the hose, and center the SIP, then i can keep vegging outward until i hit walls and in the middle of the plants where tops are trying to grow up, i will either bend where i can, and just cut off where i have too, ,just to try something differant, i would like to get a bigger plant to hold up more bud wieght?? or so my brain thinks,,

update on my Water only Grow, by repositioning my air intake hose, i was able to center my SIP in the grow space , I did some more bending to center all the tops and flipped the timer to 12/12, full 4 week Veg, Look at all those water roots,, growing in Super Soil , its like Hydro/ soil combined, Roots in the soil getting all the nutes and roots in the water doing all the drinking they can handle,, too easy, I turned the COB led panel up to 225 watts, I am right at 35 watts per square ft,, let the show begin, thats trainwreck on the right and sunset sherbet on the left IMG_7714.JPGIMG_7715.JPGIMG_7716.JPGIMG_7719.JPGIMG_7721.JPGIMG_7725.JPG
