Stealth light problem

Right I have been looking around now for a few days and haven't come across a thread or post yet.

My problem is I want to install a small pc fan into my micro grow cab but I don't want excessive amounts of light to escape from the hole. I've looked at darkroom louves but all seem to big and i thought about making one but can't think how I could make it without taking up precious space in my cab.

Could someone maybe post a good thread or suggest some other ways.

I have started a post on here under another thread so will be updating that one instead of clogging up the forum with the same threads.

Thanks.

If you don't mind having something sticking out the back (or top) of your cab, you can attach a 80mm pc fan to a black 2" elbow (or white 3" PVC elbow - but then you'd have to paint the inside black) via a 4 inch square plastic grate...then attach the other end to a 3" round outlet on your cab via another 4" square plastic grate. Here in the states we can buy these PVC parts at Home Depot or Lowe's...dunno if you have similar stores that carry plumbing supplies like this in the UK.

Yah, I'd say that if you need light blocking, you'll have to really build a box (likely on the outside of your pc box)

edit: Your light trap will have to force the light make at least three 90 degree turns to be totally blocking. Without an additional vent, I really dont think a single 90 degree pvc pipe would do the trick. I've built a few
