So, got back from a friends house this weekend. We made something pretty cool. Hehehe.

The whole thing cost less than $300, excluding carbon filter. We took an old cabinet, removed the trim and doors and basically re-created it as a grow cabinet. Hehe. We are hoping to fit four nice sized SCROG ladies in there.

It's always fun to sit around blazing some Jamaican Orange, drinking a brewski and making cool stuff with your wife and friends. Stay chillin' all!!

I plan on using a collapsible, metal shoe rack as my screen. It is height adjustable and fits beautifully. She may look small, but I'm 6' tall and the top of the cabinet is right at eye level. I have almost two feet deep and I forgot how wide.

The front has those low profile hinges that attach on the inside, we then lined the whole front lip with magnetic strips. It closes shut TIGHT!

like a piano hinge? how light tight is it? do you have any radiant light with the lights in the room off?

That sucker is light AND air tight.

The hinges are on the inside, with metal braces to hold up the door. The drawers are just a facade screwed into a piece of plywood.

Picture 1 is how the lock works without being on the front.

Picture 2 is how it opens.

Thats pretty stealthy and from the pics u cant even tell looks like a normal dresser
Thumbs up

Thanks man, we wanted to still have people over without having to worry about it.

I did a smell test with a piece of paper soaked with cologne. Cleared the room with a fan, then came back after fifteen minutes...:joint:...nothing...an hour later...nothing still. Hope this means it will contain those odors.

obviously haven't been installed yet they just built the thing but i think it would be safe to assume that they will be placed above whatever plants they grow.

Man that is awesome. What did you use on the sides? Do you know what size of light you are going to use? How much do you have in it already?

We used 3/4 inch hardwood plywood for all structural walls. We used very thin plywood with doors screwed on for the front, we didn't want the weight to be too much for the hinges. The lights are going to be T-5/LED. The T-5's on top and the LED's on all four sides. They are the strip type LED's so we can really cover the whole length of the plant! We might go to HPS for flowering, but I want to be sure that the environment stays kushy-kush for the ladies and a HPS in such a small space could compromise that. We shall see.

The start off ladies are going to be either.

A. Jamaican Orange (how do you spell SATIVA)
B. Jack Herer (Need I say more?)
C. Kali Mist/Blueberry (Yuuuuuuummmmm)

So, all Sativa dominant or completely Sativa strains. Should be fun!

As far as the doubters go, it really IS airtight. And I already have a carbon filter for it, I just didn't add it in my total unit price. (as stated in first post)

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Good work. Nice thoughts. I think you would get more positive feedback if you had it completed and with plants in there about a foot tall. fyi. Let us see it finished. Think you will be tweaking it a while before happy. Specially if its in your bedroom. I am sure sound will be an issue with fans etc. good luck

It's not all the way finished, but soon (within the next week) I will post a pic with plants going. (Well, clones going if its the Kali/Blue or the Herer, seeds if it's the Orange).

Has anyone heard or seen any extreme lst'ing that they want to share here? I want to kind of incorporate that as much as possible and I want to know to what degree I can take it. Some of these babies can get quite tall!
