Stealth Hydro 4 Plants, 1 Plant twice as tall... Starting to bud

Ok, got a question ... using stealth hydro's buble ponics. started on Jan 20.
4 Plants.
In the early stages, I snipped one plant (according to the cannibis bible) to get two coronas frow one plant. During the veg stage, I kept my four plants groomed to the same level (height). I switched to flower mode on or about feb 20. In the last two weeks, the one plant that I snipped to get double coronas has doubled in height and it is starting to (finally) produce buds as of today 3/26

So, I have three small plants with no buds at half the height, and one monster.

The bible says height doesn't necessarily mean good bud growth. And, the smaller plants could possibley do better.

Here is the big kicker!!!!
Im using a 45W CFL Grow bulb for both Veg and Flower (I played around with Mercury Vapor and Metal Hi bulbs during the flowering stage) so lets not make that an issue. The CFL did the best and I'm sticking to it.

The large plant is really close to the CFL and is budding.

What do I do with the smaller plants?

I have another CFL and my try to mount it above the lower plants.

Distance between the tall plant and the CFL: 2-5 inches

Distance between the 3 shorter plants: 6-10 inches

The tall plant is really stretching. You may want to start training it/bending it to allow the other plants to catch up.

I'm currently thinking about doing a similar setup but instead use 2 Flourescents like you would get at Home Depot but now Im think about these cfl, depending on the cost of bulbs and fixtures.

Looks pretty cool Ill be checking in on your progress.

Where in the hell am I?

Wen used properly CFL's can be used in more advantageous ways than HPS, there is no argument there. However, CFL's are NOT superior to HID lighting! Trust me

Thanks for all your input! I grabbed some tinsnips and modified two reflectors into one. Now I have two 45W CFL grow bulbs going 24/12

At least two plants are budding so the other two may catch up.

One thing I can recommend that the grow bible said is to keep the plants trimmed to the same level. But it seems like it happened over night .... BAMMM two plants just took off ....

See my pic with another bulb...

Just took out my two 42W CFLs and replaced with new parabolic hood and a 125W flower bulb. I shouldn't expect too much in an electric bill increase.
