Stealth Grow Project w/ Incoming Do it Yourself Guide

The box is complete here is some pics!

DividedSample, to make a 3-pin power supply you buy a
[PowerLine Universal AC Adapter 3-12 Volts/600mA] From Wal-mart near the cable supplies on the back side of electronics for 12.00

Take the positive tip side and push the red wire from the fan inside the hole of the plug. Take the black wire and wrap it around the outside of the plug. Wrap that all in electrical tape and set the adapter @ 12volts. Leave the yellow wire intact inside of the 3-pin housing. YouTube has vivid video on this subject.

SensiStar420, Looking at the complete box I think window/door seals would be best to fix this light problem. I am just going with a big mirror i have to lean against the front of the box. I can sleep NP with it running in my room.

The box is running @ 80*F with 30% humidity anyone have ideas about those numbers or is that good enough for growing? :leaf:
Enjoy the pics, thanks for reading/helping so far everyone!

First night in the new setup and my plants love it.

I think I'm going to trash them due to the horrible streching and incorrect light cycles these guys took through my learning process...

So they will probably be male/female plants and the streching is really bad when space is limited.

I'm germing new seeds for my journal i want to make.

Should i continue with these plants for more education or make room for a clean start?

temp is slightly high should be around 70f
and the humidity should be about 60% at this stage, gradualy reducing to 25% in the last week of flowering

I have been spraying twice a day with a damp paper towel on a plate in the center of the plants. I think that has fixed/helped my humidity.

I'd have to say its a pretty ideal setup for vegging, but I think you're going to want to upgrade for flowering.. Aside from the light, when you block that axial fan with your filter, the back pressure will kill the cfm.. A bathroom fan can be pretty much silenced with some diy skill and a carbon filter, and should be able to cool atleast a 250W hps in that space.. You're also gonna want a circulation fan or two.. And if your exhaust is sufficient, you don't need a fan on intake, leave that passive.. Pulling air is superior to pushing it..

Yeah I need to get my filter situation under control I am starting to smell the plants when i open the doors. here are some pics of the two I had before the grow box are doing.

They look really nice, but that means they'll stink more since they'll be respirating more..
Might as well give a run-down on your planting/soil choices since alot of noobs would love to recreate those results..

ok im basically going to run the same setup but im doing a scrog grow, could a 250watt hps do good in there for vegging and flowering?

Yea, it would, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to shell out a few extra bucks for an Enhanced bulb like a Hortilux if you need to buy a bulb.. If you already have a standard bulb though it'll still get the job done..

The Soil is Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix 0.05-0.01-0.05

After 3rd week: Organic Neptune's Harvest Fish Fertilizer 2-4-1

Anyone notice problems on those pics? To me it looks fine but I'm still Educating myself.

just a reminder, don't put water on leaves AND keep lights on

water is like a magnifying glass, it will urn your leaves to a crisp

BTW- Put lights closer to plants so they don't need to stretch out the stems.

Yeah the streching was pretty bad on those plants from a old setup. Now I am keeping the lights 3 inches away. Thanks for the tip on watering the leaves i was doing that to create more humidity.

After continued reading I must recommend going with a bookcase that has doors allowing 100% light proof grow box from the get-go. Wal-mart has some great options. Also I would change the light setup to be plug-in Lamp outlets with 2-outlet extensions. This would cut down on wiring and make for a easy to change light setup. My plants are doing great If your still curious please check out my grow journal, My setup works but these 2 things are drastic improvements.

Grow box is doing great so far, I've learned a lot from this thread thanks to all who gave input (+ rep for you). My seedlings Are almost into the beginning of veg state. Check out the grow journal for this box.

Stealth 11,200 lumen CFL 2 Plant Grow Seed to Smoke.

:peace: and remember: Marijuana is addictive in the sense that all great things in life are worth repeating

I plan on making a marvelous, super awesome, better CFL grow box later this year. Lightproof, better air flow, better set-up. I will def post it when that time arrives!
