don't even start with the muslims being peaceful. The religion of islam is 1 of the most violent it is. They tyr to excuse everything by claiming in the name of Jihad. According to Islam Jesus was a great prophet, but not the son of God. Yet that was jesus claim so therefore according to islam he was lying. So which is he? Great prophet or a liar? He can't. Be both

If God would talk to people everyday, then I guess we would all be perfect because we would have to worship him. No fuckin kid on this website could say shit, especially marijuananation, if God showed up, you would become one of those priests you so despise, but you wont. Youre gonna continue to live in sin, and then ask for forgiveness when its too late. BUt I'd rather adequately worship my God, and read all the sayings of the prophets, from Islamic literature because it doesnt get edited by others. Your theory assumes that God is a possibility and is therefor flawed.

Your theory is also is based on a logical fallacy called "begging the question" in which the answer comes before the question or "circular logic". You are saying that God is a possibility and therefor must exist. WHY? HOW is God a possibility in our universe? All ideas are NOT possibilities. God is an idea. Everything is NOT possible in our universe. Our universe has strict rules that keep it together. Show me where God is a statistical possibility please?

I learned to refute this argument in Psychology of Religion 101 in the first week while covering logical fallacy and common arguments for the existence of God.

I actually just watched a video of Stephen Hawking saying that science has found the answer to our existence, and that the universe spontaneously created itself out of absolutely nothing (not even a single molecule existed at one time). I am not arguing that I am smarter than a hair on his head, but if this is the proof that science is trying to push, it just makes me feel so much better about my beliefs. To me it is a no brainer.

i can't really argue against you, because I agree with most of what you said...lol. of course the bible has been altered. the king james version is a controlling device. there are many parts left out, and parts put it. I'm not saying believe it entirely. I mean take what you want, but leave what you don't want. That goes for everything that comes from other people. Absorb what makes sense to you and deflect what you don't believe is true or agree with. Ghandi says this somewhere, but i'm too lazy to go and find the exact quote.

you have to remember when these texts were written. what are ancestors minds were like, and put yourself in their shoes. maybe extraterrestrails were giving us knowledge this way. who knows.

in genisis it says woman was made from mans rib. this is a very primitive explanation of the very modern concept of cloning or genetic engineering.

In the Old Testament, Ezekiel describes in detail a visit by these Gods, and refers to fire from the vehicle, and gives a description of what we would see as an all-terrain vehicle. Apparently Ezekiel was so impressed by these that he kept describing the ship and vehicle over and over again.

Genesis 6:4 - this describes mighty men known as the sons of God who mated with humans. Just about all the ancient books describe these giants. Keep in mind that if aliens had come from a planet with lower gravity, they would be extremely tall, and sport large chests. Similar to the giants.

They have documented 10 kings that ruled for a total of 456,000 years. The Sumerians also relate a story of how the Gods had returned after the Great Flood. Some Akkadian tablets show Gods connected with helmets and stars. What's strange is that around the stars are planets of various sizes. Numbers are not superstitions.

why the hell do people still bother debating the existence of god, thier is no point, if you read the bible and do as your priest says then your views are made for you, if you create you beliefs based on life independatly you will come to different conclusions, we will find out if god is real when we die, simple as that ,i am agnostic, i dont care whether thiers a god or not, if it is real then hell love me and wen i die i will sit down with him n blaze a fat blunt, thats a god i want to see.:joint:

Still primitive.... and as I have stated elsewhere, the power of myth is quite strong. Always nibbling at the logic. A simple series of coincidences is all that is needed to completely change a person's perspective. It doesn't take much.

It takes a certain mental discipline to be an atheist. Most don't have it.... yet.

God is a loophole that allows people to stop asking questions about the natural world. Statistics is a science. You cannot marry it with superstition.

The logic of the OP amuses me. By that particular logic anything I think up is possible in an infinite set and then assumes our universe is infinite. Basically we are all "gods" according to this logic because were this to hold true we have created something out of nothing by willing it to simply happen. The problem is it isn't true because I just tried my best to will into existence a fat sack of bud and all I got was a funny look from a friend.

For all you oh so lovable, bible thumping christians out there keep this in mind: Ancient man had very little knowledge to explain what went on in the world around him. Man created god (in all forms) as an early way to explain away what they could not explain themselves. Simply saying "Because God made it that way." allowed them to get on with their day and focus on more important things, like existing.

The last thing I would like to share is my own personal outlook on life as I believe some might benefit from it. We exist. We don't need to know why or how, just that we do. Enjoy your existence while you are able to because it doesn't last long.
