Starting Your Seeds

I have read a lot. Are you saying I'm not ready?
dont think so(to get it right 1st time) by what you are asking or saying. reading and doing are two different things. its not easy to grow weed and you need lots of knowledge before starting or you will just keep on coming across problems and end up learning the hard way mistake after mistake.
but its not all bad there are plenty of people here that are more than willing to help you,
(good luck),

judging by your previous post, i will tell you that you are definitely not ready. you should probably give yourself a few months of reading on here before you consider popping some seeds. however, there are a ton of other people on this site such as myself and many others who do know whats going on enough to hold your hand as you bumble through your first try.

your choice in lighting will be insufficient for sure. start a thread when you start your grow, and people will help you.

All very true +rep. The hoped for yield of a first grow in in learning. Keep it small and simple to leave room for as muchlearning as possible!

You know what.... go for it!

Just don't expect much bud ... but you will learn a lot. You should read up as much as possible, but I have to fall on the side of doing. Doing something is the fastest way to learn. Just be prepared for it to all fall apart on you the first time. We are here for you if you need help. I'm an outdoor guy, but there are plenty here who grow indoors....

i put some seeds directly into my starter cubes like you said 2 sprouted out of the 4 one cracked just a little and thats it the other one started growing out of the seed and died before it got out of the cube, one didnt crack at all, and my cherry berry is doing great sprouted 2 days ago, all the seeds i got from attitude so im not sure what to think but germing in a paper towel gave me all around better results

i think i might take a random seed and plant it and put some pics on development and a diary of how it goes.

great post....I think I shall retire the paper towel method, I've always had mixed results. Hopefully the soil method is better.

i planted a seed 3 days ago.. it is (whitewidow x northern lights) x sourdiesel. i created this cross. i chose a seed that i was sure would be viable. i didn't do any pre-soaking, i just made sure the soil was wet when i planted it, i watered it a little bit yesterday, today it sprouted.

i don't know about germing in grow cubes ot rockwool, i have never done it, but i am sure that soil works perfect for me every time.

How does it take 18 pages and 177 post to figure out how to germinate a seed. this thread is an absolute waste of time and space.Mother nature already did all the research for you, And the results are in,put you seeds in the ground and watch them grow

Beacause with anything illegal, there's the wish to make it mystical. Ppl come up with al sorts of crazy ways, because weed is "special". It's not.... it grows just like a .... weed.

 this thread is not a waste of time because of all the noobs who put way too much energy into the beginning of their grow. the only thing that was an absolute waste of time is the time you took to type out your post. I added this thread to my sig because of the education it provides in the very first post. in case you didn't notice, the first post was quite a long time ago. this thread keeps growing because the info it contains needs to be spread to all the silly kids with their paper towels. what you say about mother earth taking care of the germination is totally correct. the fact still remains that over zealous noobs feel they can do a better job if they moniter the process closely and facilitate over coming mother natures short comings.

how is any thread a waste of time?? if the information isn't pertinent to you, simply don't read, or post in, that thread. that isn't too hard is it?:peace:
