Im starting seeds indoors to be transplanted outdoors. My question is what type of cfl's do i use for this? They will be taken outdoors after last frost. Wattage, brand, ect... for around 20 plants

Ok for those guerrilla growers out there, germing for outdoors is a little different, place your seeds on a damp kitchen towel once placed to a Jiffy Puck or 4 inch pot with seedling/potting mix, the CFL for the first week should be 1 each of 2700K or warm white the other 6500k or cool white, the blue encourage leaf or horizontal growth the red 2700k makes the plant grow vertical, second week replace the cool white 6500k with another red 2700k, after 2-3 weeks you want a tall lanky plant about 12-18 inches tall, in 2-3 weeks, lanky enough that when buried outside a good 3/4 or 8=10 inches is in the ground deep enough to get its own water, and be shooting out its own roots on that 8 inch stem you buried
...good luck

Thanks man. I had tall lanky plants last year and didnt plant any stem in the ground. Very good to know. Can i leave them in solo cups the whole time before i trans outside??
