Hello everyone. I saw this sight and found out that everyone in here is really nice and really supporting and helpful! So i thought i would post it here! :)
I have tried many times to grow but never had a successful growth. So.. Im going to try and do it right! First i need to know a few things because im not sure if im doing this right. All your suggestions are appreciated.
My first question is "On a cfl growth you can start out using the cfl's and it will sprout in a few days"? Im sure there more to it then that but i tried sprouting two seeds i germinated for about 1 day. And a couple days later nothing came up. So, im starting out right. Ill tell you all the materials i have to grow these beauties. Im trying out 2 plants for my first succesful growth! :bigjoint:

1) My two plants of course
2) 6 23watt 6500k CFL's
3) A flouresent shield with two 48" tubes.
4) Another 24 inch Grow Light from Wal-Mart LOL
5) Two fans. 1 for intake and 1 for exaust.
6) Then when the time comes i got 8 23watt 3000k CFL's for more light and for flowering!

If there is anything else i need to consider please post your comments. All comments are appreciated. Oh and i was thinking...
Maybe i could set the two plants out in the sun untill they sprout because i never had a light shine on a plant and it sprout. So when it does come up i will put the plants inside my closet with the light and everything. Its almost spring here but i wana indoor grow. PLEASE HELP!!!:-P
If your really interested in helping me add me on my instant messager!

Lighting looks ok, venting ok. What about odor control, have you thought of that? Carbon filters will do you good.
For the wattage you are going to be using with those CFL's, I recommend you use a 150W HPS at least to get some more intense light in there, ideally 250-400W ould be great....
What medium are you using? Soil or hydro? For a beginner, I really recommend the Hempy Bucket Merthod. Just google it and watch the video..
Fertalizers are imprtant too, I recommend Fox Farms due to the simple schedule to follow, however I know others prefer other types.
Rersearch how to dry and cure your product as well. Read about temp, humidity, reflective coating..... You need to learn how to properly germ your seeds, the water ph, type of water.... a tons of info is needed!
I really recommend a book by Jorge Cervantes, medical Marijuana Horticulture, again, just google it.

Wow thats alot! Haha well Im using Soil from Lowes it says on the bag "feeds plants up too 3 months" and i had a grow using it.

On the PH and all this other things like you said im not sure about that. I dont know what it all is and how to control it. But thanks ill google it!

And idk if i can get a HPS light! I might be able to but not for sure.

There is Temp, Ph level, reflective material, odor, and more can u break it down for me?

I am really not being mean here, just honest. If you don't know about those things, you are not ready to grow. ead the book I suggested, along with the FAQ at the top left of the screen. Everything you need is there. I can't tell you what you need to know in a post, it takes a ton of research my friend. I wish you good luck and keep me posted on your progress. Cheers.

Oh and research how to make your own soil, that soil you got is full of fertalizer, and screw things up, especially for a new grower. Make your own soil, there are recipes out there that are easy and cheap to do!

Okay so i found out this pH is a measure of the acidity or basicity of a solution. "Solutions with a pH less than 7 are said to be acidic and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are said to be basic or alkaline." So my ph level should be less then 7 if its greater it can harm my plant?
Water is said to be neutral so what now? lol

Now.. Fertilizers! There are two main ones! Fertilizers for Flowering & for the Vegetation state! There is also feeding your plant and fertilizing it! Depending on some fertilizers it can make the ph level change in your soil so u need to watch that! In the vegetive state i heard 20-20-20 is good? can u elaborate on that please ;)And 12-34-16 for flowering. So i should water my plant with the nutrients in it on a regular basis to produce nice big bugs! And also spray the leaves every one in a while! Now i just need to know what fertilizers to get :P if u could help me with that!

Now.. Humidity Can differ with different types of boxes and how many fans you have! An ideal temperature for the plants are anywhere from 75 degrees to 90? Adding fans and having nice circulation will help humidity! It should be kept at 85%? to 90% idk what that means but im sure ill have to get a device that measures humidity!

Now.. germing i think is (this is how i would do it) get two snap on paper plates! Get paper towl and fold it in a square while wet then place seeds and fold it over again it its like wrapped in a blanket. Then place that on the plate and snap the other one on! Then.. place them in a dark warm place for 3 days untill they have white tails? :)

That Good??? :)

PH- keep in the 6-6.8 range
temp 65-85
humidity - veggin 60-65%, flowering 40-55%
Ferts - get fox farms flollow their schedule, 1/4 strength at the beginning, the work your way up untless your plants show signs of problems
Germing, paper towel, moist, put seeds in, fold over, keep moist, they should sprout in a day-3days, sometimes longer....Once sprouted, place white tip down in some rockwool or soil... 1/4 inch below the surface.

Ya oughtta try not to touch the little taproot that'll come out of your seed when it germinates. Very susceptible to germs/bacteria, etc. at this stage.
