Read Al's threads... do what he does.. you will get what he gets...
The only difference to what I am doing is I don't use RW (I hate RW) in my pots.. I use straight up hydroton and flood often... he uses RW and floods once a day...
i have a 70 gallon res. how long should i wait to check ph after nutes are in?..
I have a 100 gal tank filled about half way...
I set everything and come back in 1/2 hour to correct the drift...
the reason i ask is ill get it to where i want it and ill come check it after like 20 min or so and it shifts on me all the time..
pH is a chemical reaction... it takes time for it to happen all over the res....
I mix my water really well and still get a .3 to .5 drift... it's normal and it is part of adjusting the pH...
I add my nutes first, as they shift pH.. I wait 10 min. then go at it with pH down...
You also have to think that the hydroton has been soaked in different pH water and will affect your res for the first couple of floods...
didnt even give its 1st watering yet..
and res water feels a little cold to the touch..
You do not want stone cold res.. I say 60F is cold enough...
But ebb flow is very forgiving of res temps as the water will quickly become the temperature of the media...
Warm res invites disease... cold res stunts growth...
65F is a good cool temp to shoot for though... and remeber the cooler the water, the more oxygen it can hold....
is that an extreme bad or can i live through it ?..

a little cold tells me absolutely nothing about the actual temperature...

No recipe will tell you to pre-heat the oven to pretty warm.... right???

This has been my first harvest of SOG Fuct style single colas...
They are still drying...
But I expect 1/2 to 3/4 oz on the bigger ones...
and possibly a little closer to the 1 oz mark once I get it all dialed in...
i mean it really doesnt matter like you say,but man if it was true...
I am hoping to get 15 to 20 oz every two weeks... but not expecting it... get it..?
