Start to Finish SOG Purple Kush Do It Yourself Hydro grow

yes... that was my intention.... diluting the nutrient solution with water that has a higher ph to balance the ph and make the feeding even lighter, these are two week old clones.....

You do visit them so they dont feel lonely. Was wondering why you nuted them and then flush them in the same feeding. Doesnt that just dilute the nute concentration? or am I missing something?

Yeah, I do visit them...... like 5 or 6 times a day :D your babies are looking good, Im sure they will deal with the transplant adjustments really well in the next few days.

Do you ever use Super Thrive GreenThumb111? It does help with stressful times ;).

Im gunna transplant 10 plants (6 PK, 4 SS) into the 5 gal pots this evening. Im going to add the fluorescent tubes, and redo the exhaust fan and reroute the A/C intake tomorrow. The explosive growth has begun, :). Table will also be cleaned today or tomorrow (with a higher likelihood of tomorrow), :) (5% bleach mix, rinse, 5 % bleach mix, rinse, rinse, dry, done, :) ). 1 Tspn per gallon (2 gal.) feeding today, followed by mild top feed flush, oxygen mix in between feeding watering and flooding. They are very happy, :). I will take pics after the adjustments are made today and tomorrow. And just to see what happens, I am going to fill the table 4 inches with more coco/perlite and sink the bottom of the pots 1 inch (so it will adjust to approx. 1 1/2-2 inches sitting) for the roots to grow into outside of the pots. Im going to rinse rinse rinse the coco before I use it though......

Do you think it is necessary line the bottom of the tray with the coco/perlite for root growth? A 5 gal pot is huge, you think hey will become root bound in that large of a pot?

Sorry to barge in...

My thought on mats under the pots on an ebb flow tray is...

One of the great assets of trays with pots is that the plants become mobile...

You can remove runts... you can move them around so all parts of the plant get some of the "optimal" light...

It's easy to clean the trays.. just pick up the pots...

Fdd has long argued the point and I agree with him... if you can get a stable feed of proper nutrients to the root, the plant will grow...

Especially in hydro...

I have grown 1/2 oz lollipops in ridiculously small pots just to see... and they grow...

I choose my pot size based on the 4 plants per square foot I like for SOG, not roots size...

But then again, it's just my opinion... and I have been called crazy, or worse for it... lol...

they are in 1 gallon pots. The ones on the shelves will be in 5 gal pots. The roots will grow out of the bottom of the pots, trust me, ;). They will be very happy with the bed of coco coir and perlite (I have been considering adding FF soil less hydro mix to the bedding as well). I will consider not adding the bed, but if roots really want to grow out, I will add it. If I do add the bed, I will add an additional drainpipe and cover them with screens.

Roots escape my pots too... I trust you...lol....

I just let them be... in my op they are fine...

Most of the time they will get dried up and "air pruned", encouraging further "root branching" within the pot...

But like I said...

Sorry for barging in...

It's just one way of doing things.. and I wanted to bring up the portability issue...

Go with what you know... that's what I always say...lol...

I am not sure if you have sen my op, but here is a link to my latest update...

I'd appreciate any tips or comments...

Cheers!

I appreciate the input.
So I added the 10 more plants today..... and took pics. Sorry they aren't the greatest pics because of the lighting. So I compensated by taking a good few. Like I said, the explosive growth just started. I look forward to flowering in two weeks, but first I have to redo the exhaust, reroute the A/C intake, and clean the table tomorrow (I might double the cleaning...... :D...... :peace:

Yea I do use superthrive for the root zone repair and stress reductgion during transplanting. Those clones are looking good TLD

Im gunna take all the plants out at about noon to clean the table, I expect they will be back in around 4 or 5 :)..... gunna have to get to it pretty soon..... and thanks guys.... I can't wait until the end of June ;)

I think Im going to add 2 more plants to the table..... and go ahead and add the removable shelf...... would make it 42 plants under 1000W. 27 in 1 gal pots, 15 in 5 gal pots. That is all beautiful stuff man.... wish you had a photographer like ME! hehe :P

Shooting for 1 oz per plant in table and 2 oz per plant on shelf. 27 oz from table, 30 from shelves= 57 oz's total (3.5625 lb's). 1596 grams for 1240 watts.

I moved the plants outside for the table cleaning, and took advantage of the lighting to get some better pics of the babies from the table.... enjoy.....:weed::weed::peace:

thank ya sir.....

They loved it outside today^^^^^^^^^ went back inside at around 6 when they started chasing the sun. The table has been cleaned, but the adjustments to the setup haven't been completed. I need to finish doing that over the weekend, :).

Your yard almost looks like mine except I have all sorts of empty pots everywhere. I need to get some trash cans to sterilize my pots. I also need to get some large ones for the outdoor grow. Need my trees trimmed too so I can get more light on the plants.

Good looking clones THD. I'm sure they will love the new changes.
