Start time?

wellp bout to start my new outdoor grow... im not sure if i shud wait or not... wat u guys think.. i live North East out near NYC wat u guys think?

Plant clones or seedlings when they are a foot tall after the last frost. End of may. So starting seedlings now is pretty good timeing

hmm.. i might germ my seeds tonight.. but to keep em in side i wud need some type of lights untill can be moved out side.. and i aint got that lol

if you have no light dont germ them! wait! buy some lights. 4 of the biggest CFLS you can find. some potting soil and very light feedings of mirical grow will get you going till you put them outdoors

just germ in mid/late april, no light is needed 'till the seedlings sprout then once they sprout if the thaw hasn't come around just stick 'em in a window facing the sun, once you put 'em outside it will get all the sunlight it needs compencating for any stretched growth while in the windowsill.

i have flourescents ....so i need to start at same light cucle they will be getting outdoors?

And make sure you have a fan blowing in the room, preferably a circulating fan. If the plants stretch too much, the stems will be weak, and when you put them outside the wind will blow them over. Which is no good. Putting a fan in the room simulates a breeze, which strengthens the stems. Then they'll be better prepared for the real outdoors.
