start outdoors, then move under lights

Brand new at this so any help will be appreciated. I am planning on putting some seeds out this week. I would like to start them in a 1 qt container, grow them until the flowering stage. It is my understanding this normally takes about 4 weeks or so from planting. Once I transplant them, they will go inside under moveable track lights for flowering for 8 - 10 week or until they are ready to chop. Can I do a split grow like that or should I keep it all indoors? Do I have the time frame right for the transplanting part?
Thanks in advance!!!

What type of light's are you using indoors? Cause if their good light's the whole idea of growing inside is you can control so much more and speed up the process.:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

do you mean you plan to bring them in when they show preflowers to flower them and youve heard that it takes about 4 weeks for a plant to show preflowers? That is correct for the most part. it can happen a bit earlier or a bit later than 4 weeks but thats a decent estimate point. your plan sounds alright and should accomplish your objectives. Is flowering any of them outside an option though? if so i'd do at least a few outside. the sun beats the hell out of hid lighting just as bad as hid lighting beats the hell out of flouresent lighting so your plants will get huge if you flower a few outside.

What they said.......with Seed for Indoor or Mothers 6 to 8 oz. start cup, when obout 3" Transplant into #1 (one gallon} pot, when about 18', transplant to
#3pot and so on.....Strains ive worked with take about 2 wks in the cup, 4-6 wks in #1, 4wks in #3 into SOG 12/12 at this point 3-5 ft tall.
