SS1 what happens

I can not remember what happens when I cut the roots,It's been awhile since I had to do that.One minute I think they didn't slow down and then again maybe they stunted I just can't remember. SuperStoner where ya at? Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

I trim them when needed, just not too much.
