spraying onto parchment (coated with silicone & non coated)

Just wondering what's everyone's thoughts about spraying onto normal parchment which I know is bad but I know people who do it and have no problems nothing noticeable.

And I'm pretty sure your able to spray onto uncoated Martha Stewart parchment and that should be the best way to avoid terpene loss from transfers.

Other than a pyrex that fits your chamber.

Just wondering , I think I'm gonna try the Martha Stewart brand.

Use a pyrex for spraying
And a oil slick pad for vac purging
I wouldn't recommend spraying on anything other than glass

Do a quick Google search on parchment paper. First link is wiki, says 2 types .

Regular parchment.. Modern parchment paper is made by running sheets of paper pulp through a bath of sulfuric acid [1] (a method similar to how tracing paper is made) This process partially dissolves or gelatinizes the paper. This treatment forms a sulfurized cross-linked material with high density, stability, and heat resistance, and low surface energy – thereby imparting good non-stick or release properties. The treated paper has an appearance similar to that of traditional parchment.......

then baking parchment... a coated paper, for which a suitable release agent — a coating with a low surface energy and capability to withstand the temperatures involved in the baking or roasting process — is deposited onto the paper's surface; silicone (cured with a suitable catalyst) is frequently used.

A quick Google search of silicones solubility shows it is highly soluble in hydrocarbon solvents.......regular parchment would be OK

This seems like a question Google can and did answer

Purely just got served out.^^^

I was more of asking if anyone on here uses this method.

But I got a clear answer thanks for the help qwisoking

And reason im bringing this up is that when you scrape from pyrex to parchment you agitate wax and are potentially whipping it, I say if the color changes you have done a form of agitation.

I feel if you sprayed onto the uncoated parchment there would be more terpene retention.
Because you don't have to scrape.

I've seen a few use parchment, I don't wanna mention names and be wrong though.. I don't really know much about making wax I prefer shatter as its pure. Wax inherently isn't cause you suck on it forever,

But freezing the parchment paper and oil then just peeling off the paper, no scraping, probly easiest way.. I dont think scraping would have much of an effect though....I don't know if you know this but I think its important to remember thc is an aromatic monoterpene, all cannabinoids are terpenes so anything that effects flavor effects potency as well

Sorry I was referring to the oil as wax, not a specific texture , I should of said bho or oil.

Qwisoking do you use iso for your extractions is that what you mean by making only shatter? Or are you referring to bho in a shatter consistency

I generally only use iso. Occasionally I'll winterize in etoh. Very rarely do I use butane, i prefer hexane as its pure and doesn't boil off at as low a temp..but either way I prefer shatter, bho and iso both can produce wax. Both can also produce shatter....... I normally stick with iso though, cheap and pure, no "purging" required
