Spotted Leaves...

I have a home made, light proof aeroponic system with 3 plants. I am about 2 months into the life cycle. Ionic is the name of the nutrient solution. The resevoir is 10 gallons. 1 Airstone. 18-6 light cycle. Water pump is on for 15 min/off for 30 min...for both day and night. Around 70 degrees F. Florescent lighting.

I have been dealing with what I think is root rot because the leaves are starting to form little rusty spots and then eventually turning yellow and dying. I got a solution to rectify the root rot but it seems like the plants are still developing the spots.

Any other problems (with similar symptoms) I should be worried about? Thanks for the time.

if your roots are white its not root rot , u will know if u have root rot your ph will go up alot and the slime is everywhere , also spots on your leaves can be to do with ph fluctuating. i had root rot and my ph when from 6.4 rite upto 8.9 then i got the spots on the leaves , best products would be either hydrogen pyroxide %3 from your chemist or hygrozyme. P.S u might just have to thru em out , i did even after the 50 bucks i spent

I checked the resevoir, slime all over the airstone. Looks like root rot. I have had hygrozyme in the water for about a week now and they show a few new white roots so that encourages me.

Should I trim the brown roots, leaves? Should the roots be totally submerged in water for a while?
