Spore Vendors

Now I have a question. Spores are legal in most states, but mushrooms certainly are not. The spore vendors seem to pride themselves on being on the up and up, in fact one claims on their page that they have no growing mushrooms in their offices.

So, how do they get the spores? Who ever is growing the mushrooms in order to take prints and make syringes is eiher doing something illegal or is in a country where it is legal. If this is all so, might we presume that at least several of these vendors get their spores from the same place?

from my understanding the laws revolving around mushrooms are kinda a grey area, there are 2 states(california and georgia i believe) where it is completely illegal to posses spore but the other states its fine, many states have psilocybin made illegal, and have psilocybin labeled on the federal drug shedule but not the mushrooms themselves, even though psilocybin is the active component in the mushrooms, it is legal to posses spores in most states because the spores themself dnt contain any psilocybin, and the reason for u purchasing them are for "microscopic research". And no doubt somebodys conducting illegal activity somewhere, but theres no way to link it, as spore prints are legal to purchase, also some spore vendors get from another vendor in bulk, like spores 101 may get there spores from ralphsters, who may well be growing cubes and making there prints that way, but if asked they would just say there ordering spore prints from a separate vendor, which isnt illegal, who knows maybe the prints come from over one of the borders, i know canada has light laws regarding mushrooms, canada grows them make the prints distribute them to spore vendors where they are turned into syringes, even tho like i said its probably all done on our home turf thers just no way to prove it without alot of taxpayer dollars spent and a large investigation, and im sure the goverments getting there fair share from this to as they are legitemite businesses. also i know florida has very light laws on possesing and cultivating mushrooms, and some state theres a grey area revolvin around fresh or dried mushrooms

Agreed, so the mushrooms themselves may be grown in a relatively small number of places. Either larger quanjties of spores themselves are shipped to the vendors or the syringes themselves are. Now, I notice that the syringes from the different vendors are different (generaly), One has lurlock, some do not, some have needles attached, some have "plugs" of different types and come equiped with needles.

I was struck by the difficulty each vendor might have offering several dozen different "strains". Each "strain" would have to be grown separately necessitating dozens of different ongoing grows
The thing is that when my buddy bought from 101, hawkseye, sporefarmer and two other lesser known vendors, he encountered contamination across several different vendors - the contamination was identical and I am quite certain that the source of the contamination was the liquid itself, there is no other way. I think it would be exceptionaly strange that this situation was simply coincidence.

According to sporeworks, workman has a lab(s) in Jamaica where it is legal to grow. Every so often he has prints shipped in to him and visits from time to time. Supposedly is research in the PE and APE strains is done down there. He doesn't have that many strains, maybe 12 cubensis and 10 or so exotics, so I imagine it is much easier for him to keep everything fresh and in stock. With the amounts of caps that can be obtained from something like a monotub, and the amount of syringes you can make off those caps, I really don't think it would be that huge of an operation. Even with the huge amounts you get in a sporeworks syringe, one grow batch would be enough to make thousands of syringes. I've noticed their syringes have been different styles over the past year and a half or so. They always come with the needles still in the wrapper, but sometimes they come with a cap over that blue plug and sometimes that cap is a different style. Honestly, I think the whole cap / no cap business has to do with how much you order whether they can fit it in their standard box or not.

Now Ralphster is a different story. To my knowledge, all his prints are purchased from a 3rd party...many 3rd parties it seems. He advertises on his site looking for people to print for him for extra cash in areas where growing mushrooms and printing is legal. You would almost have to if you carried 100 different strains. With that many potential printers and that many strains, a lot of mistakes can be mades. Or people can just flat out lie about what they are printing if they really wanted. I don't know why they would I imagine he doesn't pay depending on the strain, but who knows, someone can have several hundres prints of Ecuador and might say half are something else to ensure he buys them all. Who knows. It's a completely unregulated business. All we can do it take their word for it and if we aren't happy then go to a different vendor. That's why I stick with sporesworks. I've been very happy with my results and I'm not concerned with his smaller selection, so I don't see a reason at this point to take a chance with a new company.

Thanks ! But one might consider a new company if one got an abundance of contamination.
