that's it, i'm gonna do it. i don't really do them but i want to grow some. the pictures i've seen have got me itching. i have never grown the shroomies before but i see several have. anyone care to give me a walk thru. it will be a month or so before i have the funds available. i would like to keep it somewhat easy. i don't have a whole lot of room but from what i've seen i don't need much. so i guess for starters i will need some sort of idea of cost and difficulty. anyone? :peace:
 
i read the tutorial. i'm in. looks like i'll i really need to hunt down is the pressure cooker and some spores. i have the wife checking goodwill for the pressure cooker. no idea where to get spores.

I have a friend who has used them....and I'm finally getting one next week..I'll let you know how it goes...but my buddy is retarted and he has great success...LOL......I can't wait..me and the wife have been talking about getting one of these kits for a couple years....but have been to scared to shroom...it's just been so long and we have kids now...but we decided to get one finally....the price has come down, they used to be like $200...:-P:-P

it will be fun....I may not even eat any....probably just give them away...but I'm excited to watch them grow and see the final product......I've always been interested in mushrooms.........:hug:

my thoughts exactly. i just want to grow them. i grew poppies this year. didn't scratch them. saved them for seed for next year.

here is a forum with people talking about there personal experiences with this kit......I've wanted to grow poppies too, that's something I'll have to do next year....they are so pretty...
 
I'm using the PF-Tek method for a first-time grow (B+, Ecquador, Classic, and Treasure Coast). Sterility is the key. I've had two jars that appear to be contaminated so I may toss those but will wait and see if they colonize anymore. One jar was completely colonized so I did the dunk n' roll and it's now in the grow chamber. Have two others that need maybe two more days of colonizing and they'll be ready for a cold bath and then into the chamber. Two others are slowly colonizing. I innoculated the jars on July 25th and it took more than 30 days for even the slightest appearance of colonization. Not a hobby for those without patience. I'll post some pics as soon as they start pinning.

that's the tek i used. i've grown on two seperate occasions with pretty good success. the last batch i grew you can only take about 1.5 grams or you will lose your mind. literally.

that's where i ordered my spores. you're best bet is to order the syringes since you have no experience with spore prints. i trust these guys and they are pretty stealth considering what's inside. they are pretty fast too. if you have any questions, feel free to ask :)
