I use Silica as an emulsifier in my foilar spray, its a key part in my garden now. Aloe is is full of enzymes and saponins, stuff that you can't find in any hydro store bottles.

That is some stackage going on right there. Where do you get the aloe and silica? Do you just blend up some aloe and strain it? You should take that nug down to Ben Bridge and have them put that on a wedding band..., sparkle, sparkle :-P

Little update. So far I just foilar sprayed them with Aloe/Silica once and top dressed with earth worm castings. The god buds were started 1 week earlier so they are the three bigger ones, the rest are kandy kush.

Thats a Kandy Kush seedling, is praying to the God Bud plant

Protekt for my silica, after this bottle pau I will use diluted Agsil 16h instead. Fresh aloe from my aloe vera plants, filleted. 2 tbs Aloe/1 tsp Protekt/1 gallon water, use within 20 mins for best results, once a week.

Here's what I mean by 'fillet':

No worries. Next time you guys go beach, if can, grab some young green coconuts, use this to water your plants. Mixed at 1 part coconut water to 15 parts water. If you're feeling froggy. Give it a try. You wont regret it, I suggest giving this thread a read it's changed my approach towards growing for the better

Throwing some outside today, the rest tomorrow. I got two trashcans of SS and some 7,10,25 gallon pots, my greenhouse is up too. Meanwhile, I just put some 'Jack Herer' and 'Grape Stomper' crosses from 'tude in the water today. Can't wait :-) this is going to be a good year.

At least you got your priorities straight lol my weed is all organic but my veggie garden isn't...yet. I'm doing some companion planting this year in my greenhouse though :-)

Last year I planted I sunflower between my two plants, that kept a lot of pests off them.

:oI'm a little jealous right now. That's rad:-P
Thanks brah, I was stoked. Had to make sure my ol' lady wasn't behind me munchin' candy. After I was reassured, I knew this one is had to be cloned. Took three of them yesterday. Got those Jack crosses in dirt, along with some 'Bright Moments'. Put the Kandy Kush's outside a long with the God Buds, kept the ones that I think are male in their 1 gal containers, others that I ass-ume are female got put into 7 gals with 40-45% SS and myko's. Soil drenched with Aloe mixed @ 2 tbs/gallon.
Today they are all praying, never even hardened them up either just straight outside. If I had a camera now I would post pictures, they have grown quite a bit since last update. If I had airstones, they would've gotten an AACT yesterday instead but its okay, Aloe is nice on the roots. Pickin up someairstones today and i'm going to give them AACT sometime this week. Simple recipe, 1 handful homemade EWC 3 pinches sucanat.

I was also going to ask what Agsil 16h is, that you mentioned for using for silica. Planting marigolds around the base of your plants is supposed to help ward off pests too. I read about it and a friend of mine who is really into gardening tried it this last year and said it worked. We just got a bunch of lettuce greens, upland taro, potatoes and corn planted. I'm waiting on my sweet potatoes to grow some slips and I'm going to plant some Hawaiian chile peppers too. And my wife is stoked that I'm going to start making AACT. Maybe next week I'll be able to get around to buying the supplies.

How's the weather been over there? It's been a pretty weird winter over on Maui this year. Hot, dry, muggy and more vog, more often than I can remember for one winter. I'm not complaining too much; the vog is just rough on my wife. I'm guessing you guys have had a relatively dry winter or no?

And what kind of green house did you go with? I was thinking of building a small PVC hoophouse for seedlings where I could hang some supplemental lighting without having to worry about the lights getting wet. It would be a lot easier than moving plants in and out everyday.

Agsil is potassium silicate, a.k.a Silica a.k.a Protekt. All the same thing, Agsil 16h is just the raw form. Mix it with water, make a 3% dilution and presto, you have Protekt.

I got some beans, chives, onions, garlic, oregano, basil, sage, kale, peas, lettuce and cilantro going right now. I like the idea of marigolds, should work. I'm going to get some sunflowers and pansy's going soon along with some other assorted flowers, that's my pest control this year. Keeps the bee's happy too. I just gave them their first AACT yesterday, some EWC and sucanat. Weather has been good, ever since I have got my greenhouse up we have had no rain, ironically. Winter, not so much. I was going to go with a hoop house but decided a metal frame is better for my situation.

I would make sure you make a sturdy frame, if you're getting a lot of heat. Hoop house's tend to warp like a mo'fo on a sunny day. I built some last year, with 1/2" pvc. First hot day I poke my head outside to look and the hoop houses were all hammahjang?! Looked like a PVC tumble weed blowing across the yard, I want to make some square foot gardens with PVC sometime. Next time I will use 3/4". Another reason why I got a frame from Home depot, after sketching up a blueprint for a good size pvc hoophouse, it's cheaper to just buy a frame. Mobile too. After this season is pau, clean it up, pack it, put it away for next season. I got some plastic from ace, it works okay but next time I'm going to do a little more looking around when I buy my plastic.

Whatever you end up making, for however much the cost is. I am sure you won't regret it. This is the best investment I've made this year.

Are the pictures showing? Dang I already deleted them for my SD card.
Thanks for the info again, on the silica. I don't see the pics and the attachment links don't work when I click on them either. Sounds like you got a nice garden going. I got some of those things going too, just not as much as the before mentioned crops. Seriously, who could go without cilantro, chives, and onions? Those are some definite must haves.

Spliff here. Took me awhile to paddle past the white wash but I swam through the bullshit now the season has come, and fruits are ripe in my garden. Kandy Kush crosses on the left are coming down here this week. Put some more Kandy Kush outside, along with God Bud x Blueberry on the right. Two Kandy Kush's in 7 gallons w/ 45% Super Soil. Decided to try and be more akamai this season and give smart pots a try the God Bud got put in a 10 gallon smart pot with 30% Super Soil. Look at the difference, on the left plants grown in roots organic soil used with GO box. On the right ROLS methods, AACTs, and Super Soil.

In the works we got "Flojack"(Flo x Jack Herer x XXX Skunk) and "Bright Moments"(Grape Stomper x Grape Stomper OG). These will be going outside within the next couple weeks. So far they've gotten foilar sprayed once with aloe/silica other than that just been giving them water good ole' catchment water.

Rik...I'm still brewing up the AACT's and filleting them Aloe's...just hit a rough spot in da road with MyLady, we are working on it though. Thanks for checking up brah, appreciate it!

On a side note, I scored some Skunk Dog seeds.....more to come, to be continued..... :-)
