That's not the meaning of life. That's what you do while you are alive. Hardly constitutes a meaning to existence. Try going a little deeper, if you can.
sorry that wasnt philosophical enough for you, i could have come up with some fancy bullshit that sounded all pretty and nice and gave you a false sense of meaning, but fuck that this is what its about, the purpose of life is to live. And to live we must eat, fuck, and sleep.

I agree with skunk, Eat sleep and fucking are part of our live's tho.. Everyday we do these to continue to live. But the meaning of life is not that, that is only what we do during life, what we accomplish is the meaning of life some say, but i dont think enybody knows the true meaning to life. Do we live on after death? some say no some say yes, when we die is that the end? I belive no it is not and we will keep going on in some form.

i get really deep sometimes rofl. usually about as deep as a fricken puddle but I manage to spit out something that half assed makes sense. Im actually really smart, I just don't care to act that way. being immature is more fun

there is no meaning of life. life is what issues meaning, not the other way around.
Of course there is no meaning to life. It simply is. Sometimes 7x, I forget that you are a christian.
If a god created mankind wouldn't this provide meaning to life?

I dont do religion. at all. I dont knock anyone else that does, unless they try to force their beliefs on others. I just think that if you are sreaching for the meaning of life, then maybe you're missing something. For some I'm sure religion fills that gap, others maybe Love, drugs,anything. Im just saying that one should try actually living life, before trying to find a deeper purpose for it. Life is just this;living. Its whatever you make it.

Perfect sense. There is no deep purpose to life, the only purpose to life is to live. You must also try and live the best life you can. Doing good deeds (like helping the proverbial old lady) really does make you feel better.
I believe in karma, not as a separate entity but as something that is a part of us. We punish ourselves for our guilt on a subconscious level, and the punisments we mete for ourselves can even be as harsh as death.

well, the "thirst" of which you speak is innately human. so, as you know, it is my opinion that your assumption that religion is something invented by man is incorrect; religion is a natural result of previous people having first hand contact with God. the fact that religion is a universal trait of being human shows me that we have always sought re-connection to God. you already knew all this.

God's creation of mankind does fulfill His meaning but that is not the same as our meaning. surely our presence does account for His meaning, if it did not we would not be, but what is present in our lives is what provides meaning to us - this is why He gave us such tremendous liberty. yes, because God created us there is meaning, but not meaning we are "given" through some entitlement, it is meaning which we "are" and it allows us to develop purpose in what we will "be".
i guess it's kind of like being on a road, just because you are at the end of a road which leads to Rome does not mean you are already in Rome. there is meaning; it is only a matter of accepting it and then acting with it as a basis for creating personal meaning.

i agree with the search idea. if you go on the "search" then that is your meaning, it's all about what you do, what action you take. the ones who search are on an endless chase. acceptance is the name of the game.

Yet if there is a god and a heaven, wouldn't then the meaning of life be to be granted eternal life in heaven?
Even though this god gave us free will, it still wants us to follow a certain path. We still only have 2 choices.
So the meaning of life would be to lead a good enough life to go to heaven, or a bad enough one to go to hell.
