KEEP GOING! Tell him to go to his local hardware store like ACE and tell him to get a "Hot Shot No Pest Strip" they run for about 7 or 8 bucks and kill spidermites in less than a week, eggs and all.

If its a 8wk cycle then he is 6 wks in... No need to chop.. Just grow it out and spray with water twice a day to keep them under control... After that CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN... that room and everything around it needs to be cleaned and cleaned GOOD!! I would also suggest he try to find where they came from.. Clones, outside...ect... Just my opinion.... cheers!

oh they def came from the clones lol
his first grow and the clones he got were outside so they are all stretched too
from that pic can you tell how long left? the hairs on the top bud are getting a lil color but the lowers are still white

It does lead to mold, especially when it saturates into the dense buds and stays there all humid and such. I'm telling you, from experience, if your buddy can find it, look in the pest/ onsect killing section for a Hot Shot No Pest Strip. 8 bucks: spidermites gone in about 4-5 days, there might still be a couple stragglers but they will ALL be gone within a week.

Okay, your not into deadly chemicals... I get it. On a healthier and much more natural approach, have you checked out neem oil? I have no experience with this one, but I've heard good things. Although you have to re-apply this one several times or more...
