Floramite is the real game-ender for spidermites if that other stuff doesnt completely eradicate them..just to be used on moms and plants in veg though

Look at no pest strips during times in veg. Lots of posts. Don't use in your bedroom but used routinely in agriculture.

yes lots to go off of...thanx again everyone I really appreciate the help.. oh...and happy new year!! I am really considering taking it all down still. I had plans to rebuild everything more solid anyway and maybe this is the best time to do that...it really sucks I may have to lose these strains though. I am not a credit card man so purchasing seeds off the net never works for me, been relying on clones from acquaintances and really enjoyed the widow and hashberry....maybe I can try to preserve them by making a temporary room and rebuilding the main one quickly....we all know how that works out though!! I have lots to go with here so I just have to make a choice. Like I say extra time and a few finance issues (got the cash but live in nowheresville) kind of keep me from a once every 3 day regiment of spraying and debugging or whatever so ya ..might just rebuild, if they come back then thats the way it goes ...if I was planning a rebuild anyway maybe this is the sign.....thanx again everyone and the best in 2013!!!!

When you clean the room use a bleachy/soapy-water mix, wipe everything down! (everything associated with your grow) Top of reflectors, fan blades, ect. Leave a thin layer of this stuff on all surfaces....the bugs don't like walking on this stuff.....kill em' with clean! Spray pots and bases of plants along with surounding floorarea two-three times a week....as preventative action against pest (once you get the under control.) More fans help too.
good luck

So, I didnt read everyone else's replys, just thought I would tell u my story.

My grow room is in my garage nest to my firewood. Well before I knew it POW, crop infested. I sprayed with h2o2, pyrethium, they kept coming back. So I bombed the shit out of my garage, 3 times. Bleached out my rooms. Now I am 3'from that wood pyle, which I casually spray with bleach every so often, and havent seen a spider mite(knock on wood). It has been 4 months. My garage is 700sqft and I had 3/4 of a cord of wood in it when i bombed it. I hate those bastards and unfortunetly u did the right thing by harvesting. Now kill kill kill KILL kill, those little fucking bastards. Make sure u bomb and then do it 3-4 days later and then 3-4 days later. Kill 10,000 for me. May this massacre end all ur problems!

been contemplating.... If I wanna continue to do what I do I have to totally reset...it hurts ...but I gotta make the smart choice here. I'm tossing everything except bulk expensive equipment which will be cleaned and sterilized. I'm tossing the 6 hash berry that I never got to try (they are tainted..I will always see them this way) tossing the widow mommy..(losing a good favourite strain that has been there for years for me) tearing it all down, cleaning the entire area and surrounding space thoroughly...building in it's place rooms that are drywalled, mudded and taped, painted white...totally sealed (except of course for ventilation and intake). building it properly gives me a lot of fixes to minor issues that keep arising. On hot days the temp gets a little high...obviously bugs are coming in, when everything is good and ripe you can faintly smell the op. (not that bad but I want no odour whatsoever!) concealment and security can be significantly upgraded...If I go to all this work to rebulid,...(which I am gonna have to do at some point anyway) I do not want any tainted plant in there at all. Fresh clean start...... good thing I have a bit of a stockpile haha..Thanx again everyone. I would appreciate any bits of advice for my new project if anyone is inclined.....several heads are better than 1, although I am quite certain how it will all be when complete...I may even give it a couple months to make sure there is no plant material to feed off of,then clean again before I build just to ensure there are no leftover stragglers....How long would they live if they were left over after a good clean???

i know this sounds extreme for the plant but...We were having a problem with one of our ladies(under 1 foot tall) and had to seperate her from the rest. We decide to put it ouside for a bit in the sun...and...got drunk....and forget she was out there. The temp that night hit like 25F. I jumped outta bed in the morning at the thought of it and....waalaah she was alive....mites=dead! brought her in for some tlc and she is a bit beat but she is alive. this is about 6 days later.

I have thought about that but all I have to work with is like 0 degrees F which is like - 15 -20 celcius right now...maybe a happy medium somehow...and I was told lady bugs are farmesrs and will ensure they leave a few mites behind to continue their food source...they never get rid of them completely,it's against their nature....it's gotta help though

haha db looks like you absorbed some of the info ive shared after all!:)

@ brother numsi, yes, forbid works. but i save that for those last min situations, not the best chemical to start with especially if his population has not encountered any pesticides yet i would start with mighty was then move to pyrethrin pr permethrin(one or the other, not both and never applied within 2 weeks of eachother), then move to avid or forbid after that(depending on whether they are on flower or not.)

dude i had mites... these are some of my basic suggestions and prevention tips from exp.

1. first of all DONT SAVE the infested plants EVER. dont work 9/10 times anyways, and when it does yur infested again. (this does depend on the severity)

2. Clean the heck out of the area. ive noticed that spider mites either make "cobwebs" or can at least live in them. so its important to vacuum and sanitize.

3. make sure your medium isnt infested as well. this goes for any bug. lots of em get into store bought mixes. even premium ones. can happen to any one. i see thrips alot in all kinds of soils.

4. Keeping your soil overly moist attracts bugs big time, of all sorts.

5. ALWAYS, ALWAYS inspect ANY clones you are gifted. Thats how i got infested, and it happend within just a week or so too, crazy fast.

6. Pets can carry spider mites very easily. i think the clones i was given had cats get all over them. i had stop letting my cats around my grow too.

7. Regularly check the BOTTOM of your leaves to see if there is any evidence of bugs. this could save your entire grow, versus being lazy and losing it all.

8. Use common sense... dont ever use dirt from outside. dont let people into your grow area as they could also carry pests.

hope this helps a bit... feel free to add any HELPFUL info i left out :) im no self-proclaimed expert :eyesmoke:

and happy bug free growing to all!

I was "gifted" some Redwood Kush cuts that turned out to be infested. Lesson learned; trust no one, always verify.

Went to Amazon.com, got Mighty and Power Washes. Problem solved.

Don't use azamax or axamax or whatever spelling people choose to throw out. It's serious poison. Mighty then Power up until 3days before harvest and everything's all good.

Best of luck to ya and sorry you're going through it. Just got it all undercontrol very recently over here so I can sympathize with what you're dealing with.

Nuclear warfare......

I've got em too, used Mitewash, and they're still around. Waiting for a small bottle of this from ebay. Its $230 for a big bottle, but its enough to do a warehouse grow a couple of times. People sell small 2 oz bottles on ebay for under $30. there is noting stronger than this, period.

its suggested to wear a carbon filter respirator and a tyvek suit. I'm a painter, so I happen to have these. Fuck those bugs, its on baby.

this and this as regular maintenance.....
dude this is the second time I've seen you suggest using a pain spray for someting in the garden. I'm lauging so hard I have tears at this suggestion. A $600 paint sprayer, really? Why? A fine mist garden sprayer is perfect, and cheap.

Its just silly man, really.

Is avid not banned in Canada ? Ah I might be thinking of something different. I used sm-90 in watering and as a folar spray it kills them and is good for the plant it's a great wetting agent. Spray it on when lights go off and after a few applications spray water. if you see them back repeat. It all has a lot to do with temp and breading cycle killing adults and juviniles befor they lay eggs again if your only in first week of flower you can get away with one final blast of sm-90 5parts water to 1 sm90. Other than that just being clean even wiping floor and area around once a week is a good idea clean clean clean. Strip as much of the mother down get air movin thru they like cluttered plants easy to nest in
and how I know this method works I have used it and help a friend recently kick some mite ass 2 weeks befor flower he's over month into flower and no signs of them

Seperate and spray EVERY clone you get with azamax from any source except you own. I spray several times in veg as a preventive.
