Spidermites have won the fight!!

I harvested early because of my first ever problem with these bastards. I had them in both my veg and flower room (I really don't know how they got there because of my setup).I thought alright, chop em down early, clean out the flower room, get the veg room under control before I start another flower batch....that was a month ago...I gotta get something in that room and these things seem to be relentless. I am weary about DOOM because my room is in house and not completely sealed off. I have used many homemade products and store bought as well and although keeping the battle going they never go away. I have a widow mommy about 4 feet tall and 6 hashberry , one of wich is going to be another mom and the other 5 ready to go into flower.they are all being ravaged by mites after several solid attempts to eradicate them. If a constant battle is inevitable I might just tear down,clean,wait and redo the whooole room from scratch.. As far as I see it,these are my optionstrying to keep both strains)

A) I cut new clones off of the widow and hashberry giving me less foliage to waste products on and a more manageable scenario,.. starting from there isn't so bad
(concerns) even if i toss these plants just taking small clones from them will my room still be contaminated? (even after a goood clean?...I think so)

B)get rid of it all,tear the room down,toss the plants.Clean the area thoroughly build a better,more sealed room with drywall,paint...proper (in the same spot) and hope that the removing of all material (sterilizing of bulk equipment throwing out mylar etc) will have gotten rid of them
(concerns)- There is nothing I can do. the house itself is tainted and any attempts will be in vein and the mites will always return...look for a new location??

also my room is not shotty...it's just near impossible to get a good seal with a mylar room setup (which has been working great until now) and in order to spray heavy pesticides I want it to stay where it's needed,not drifting around the house. Any info or help is greatly appreciated as a MAJOR move is needed in some direction...I just need to know how resilient these mites are and how long they will linger,what actions to take to get rid of them for good. I honestly don't have time to tend to the garden and then the added workload of these fucking bugs...I may just have to stop my favorite thing because of these little bastards....thanx guys!!

and if that doesn't work (which it will IF applied right) then load the sprayer up with either pyganic or azamax. the mighty wash seems to keep them at bay but it's really hard to eradicate the bastards with it, pyganic and azamax not so much.

get a ton of ladybugs, they will have them destroyed in no time

your gonna have problems with the big plants but here is a good tip...instead of spraying which is time consuming and messy,not to mention gets vapour in the air(mmmm)...mix yer defender(my fav) in a five gallon or bigger bucket and turn yer plants upside down and dip them....100 percent coverage and less mess.When i dip i give an agressive under liquid shake...its the only way ive beat mites and can take 2 or 3 dip and shakes ...but u will prevail , make sure to clean all spaces associated with the plants....

hey man, sorry bout your bug problem, axamax and neem mixed is the shit, regular aplications in veg keeps me bug free in flower, if your on a budget, go to wallmart and get gardensafe fungicide, that shit is like droppin a nuke...just spray every couple days to kill any living bugs, and to contaminate the eggs, eventually they should be killed off...

oohhh ,I like the dipping idea because i can't help but think as I am spraying " this is not getting everywhere.."...lady bugs is good except I'm in a small town in the mountains and winter is in full effect ( have to make a trip is all) I do also have an airless paint sprayer which seems good.... Either way some time,some work and I should be able to overcome them. Time is a factor however...as it is I just have time to tend to the garden on a regular bases ,nevermind the xtra shit...but if I wanna keep growing I guess I gotta make time.... either way keep them coming folks..all good stuff haha...thanx alot

Mighty wash is 99.8335 percent water and the rest inert ingredients btw, it would appear you could drink it in a survival situation, one user here mentioned he did take a sip :/
it also kills mites and eggs dead as shit IF it contacts them.

pyganic pretty safe for mammals too .

I like neem oil + dish soap. Doesn't kill eggs but a few applications over a couple weeks gets them good. Been mite free for a while.

Also keeping a clean grow environment is paramount to fighting them. Bleach your floors, tools, pots, walls, and anything else in there on a regular basis.

I've never tried neem because I've heard of people using it and praising it then saying something like "I'll never use that shit again" , but I can say that azamax active ingredient is derived from neem. it interrupts a hormone and they quit breeding. it also kills by contact(suffocation) like an oil based spray does such as purespray green(petroleum oil, you could lube up the other half with it if you wanted too ).

Take a look at Forbid...will help the veg room, but $20/shot on eBay.

so., it is not necessary to tear down my room as long as I clean it properly? and I definitely want to get rid of them before I start flower?? these are 2 safe bets? The real question is method and persistence it sounds like....

yes now you got it with the persistence . if you aren't in flower you could do as numsi said and go with forbid although many tend to frown on it and I've never used it. I was having a problem with them that I kept under control with the mighty wash sprayings, extreme control but no eradication but then I got another pest problem that is even worse which was root aphids, errr actually that was springtails I think, they jumped real good. from shitty high priced soil I won't mention the name of, so I started sprayings of pyganic and azamax. I'm about to finish up a cycle later and haven't seen a sign of mites or anything for that matter and haven't been practicing what I preach with regular mighty wash sprayings.

in veg atm I'm trying a product called tetrasan(haven't read much about it but guess I should). it's a systemic that controls for 5 weeks or so. forbid is also a systemic this is why you can't use them in flower. in the 60+ days of flower the chemicals have broken down and should be safe and out of the plants system.

man i had the same problem, i been fighting the fuckers since spring. i tryed option A and it failed brought the mites back. i finally knocked the little fuckers out with a wash so toxic i didnt know if the plants would live. but they did and are thriving. i hit them with mighty wash, then 3 days later azamax by Gen hydro. 3 days later mighty wash, 3 days later kill all spray the local hydro shop recommended. 3 days later mighty wash agian. then azamax 1 more time 3 days later. then a final shit of mighty wash 3 days after the last azamax. the mites was mostly gone after the second mighty wash but i kept going. after i got the mites under control i removed all plants bleached the entire room. pulled the lights down cleaned them as well i didnt want no where they could hide. and for a little prevention i hung some HotShot no pest strips up to keep them away. hopfully im done with them forever but prob not cause of where i live. hope u get everything taken care of. azamax and Mighty wash are both amazing products and highly recommended.



as far as ladybugs, they are farmers so they wont wipe them completly out they will save some so they can eat off the babys. so i dont recommend that. u want to knock them out not lessen them

get out your microscope ,
If you see older adults ,spray every 2 days , keep your temps below 70deg

Every 2 days soak down
