Spider mites

Someone posted saying they were having a war with spider mites, using aza max and still had problems.I achieved total control of spider mites using predator mites. This is my first post hope I can help...If you have a budding room and a growing or cloning room it is easy to do. The predators like it humid so you have to mist your plants a couple times a day.You also need a 8-10 power magnifier so you can see your mites the good guys and the bad.
When you put predators in a room they will eventually eat all the bad mites. Before they run out of food you need to take a couple leaves out of your budding room and transfer to the growing room.By doing this you will never have to purchase predators again and,you will not have a problem either,The trick is maintaining a balance so you always have some bad guys and good guys. You don't want to ever completely eliminate the bad guys cause then the good guys will die too.Hope this helps..

you are suggesting keeping some spider mites just so the predators can live on? fuck that. killem all. salt the earth. pillage their villages.

The only thing is that it could take 4 weeks for predator mites to overtake an already established population of spider mites. They can do a lot of damage in four weeks. But if you introduce them too early, without their being any spider mites around for them to munch on, they will have nothing to eat and die off I would assume. This is how I understood it, anyway. Currently I use Azamax routinely and it works but id be open to using predator mites if I could figure out an answer to the above conundrum. Maybe I am misinformed?

Yes, you have some spider mites otherwise you will eventually have no predators either. If you let the bad guys all die you lose the good guys when they have no food. When this happens the bad guys will be back soon but you'll have no predators to control them. You need to use your magnifier and learn what both populations look like. They are easy to tell apart.A few spider mites are no problem you won't even know they are there, no webs etc.The only way you'll know they're there is by looking through the magnifier. The misting deters the bad guys and is favorable for the good.I am no longer able to grow but am happy to pass along what I know.I know what a pain in the ass spider mites are and believe me if you ever learn to balance the situation like I'm telling you ......you're worst enemy will be under your thumb, not a problem. It takes weeks for the good guys to gain control so balance of both will serve you well....ok

Maybe I was not clear.I did not spare spider mite lives in my budding room.I merely identified predators and transferred them via a leaf back into the cloning or growing room. Then constantly monitor populations in both rooms.I know you like hanging out with your plants, I always did.Once you get the hang of it it's pretty cool.
