Hey there, new to live soil. Had a good start after 10 yr hydro. Had 2 snafu's maybe I could get some experienced info: had fungus gnats in veg once, flower 2 times. Used DE powder around the mulch layer, ,stalk and around plants base. Did ok any better suggestion?
I'm 2 or 3 days from harvest. Noticed little webs here and there between buds but not severe. IPM so close or no? Drying environment 60*/60%/14-21 days. Heard of bud washing but that's got to prolong dry? No need? Vacuum the plant? No noticeable white spots on leaves and I wiped webs away.

If it's was me, I'd use a product that can be used 24 hours before or up to harvest. Trifecta crop control or green clean or nuke ' em is what I've used with in a week of harvest.

Got a sprayer that adjust so you get a nice stream with just enough pressure to knock the webs out, but not damage the flowers? If so, I'd use good old water. Hose them bitches down.

Edit: Last sentence is a figure of speech.. idk if you really wanna use a hose lol

2-3 days from harvest I would just be vigilant and wipe whatever you can see off.. I would be reluctant so spray with water just because I would hate to see mould. Best of luck

I find if you add a little bit of alcohol in there it helps the evaporation and kills the little bastardsView attachment 5271748
Yessirrr. I knocked em out fast with alcohol. I used gauge pads & wiped/padded on/under all the leaves & stalks/stems. They were gone within a week. I checked every plant, removed them in the process & cleaned the whole tent with an alcohol+water spray. I chucked that Athena IPM to the side for that one.

That sounds like a lot of work but if it worked well worth it :hump: :peace:

Been growing nearly 20 years.. still to this day I've never had spider mites, and never had a plant go full hermie. If I did have mites tho.. I'd run out and get some NPK Mighty Wash immediately. After this grow, I'd be bleaching the room.

NPK Mighty Wash has a secret ingedient not listed on the label. >:(
What a bunch of dicks! No labeling or strength listed.
Recent laboratory results show high levels of the active ingredients, pyrethrins and/or piperonyl butoxide in some cannabis samples.

Pesticide Advisory Alert – NPK Industries Mighty Wash and Ultimate Wash products contain pyrethrins
June 16, 2016

The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) has reason to believe the products Mighty Wash and Ultimate Wash, manufactured by NPK Industries, contain a pesticide active ingredient not listed on the label. ODA has tested both products and found it to contain the active ingredient pyrethrins.

Use of Mighty Wash and Ultimate Wash could cause cannabis to fail Oregon Health Authority (OHA) pesticide testing requirements.
Growers of all crops and retailers are advised to discontinue using or selling Mighty Wash and Ultimate Wash until further notice.
