My spray w/habanero peppers, 1/2 lb,cut in half, boil in 2gal water, cool, strain and press through a sieve into cooled boiled water(wear gloves! + clean thoroughly when done),add a little mild soap(non phosphate natural is best) a tbl. spoon to habanero liquid and spray preventively at sunset bi weekly, and nothing wants anything to do w/your plants.

Sounds like a good spray. Does any of the habanero flavor or spice transfer to the buds?

No,after applying these treatments(it doesn't have to be applied bi- weekly if you don't notice animal or insect probs. or lots of rain, monthly can be fine)during the summer veg.months, the last time I'd apply would be a month from harvest as you don't want anything wet on thickening buds, and on that last spray I add some BT to handle any potential bud worm probs, hit my plants this yr. w/BT on last spray and didn't find one of those budeating MF's. PS when you spray this wear gloves and eye protection as it's irritating as a bastard, also after you add the peppers to the boiling water, cover, let the peppers steep in the covered pot,and bring this outside as the vapors are irritating as hell in the house.

Grosafe works great to instant kill bugs and used as a weekly foliar will reduce the chances of PM greatly. Excellent product. I spray once a week, 1oz/gallon, from seedling to flower set.

Imo it is the best product introduced in decades for horticultural IPM plans.
I have a pesticide turf and ornamental licence for my golf course job and I just figured I'd mention that I don't see any ingredients in the products formulation that are applicable to dealing w/fungus issues. Don't mean to come across as a contrarian or quibble w/ your ex. nor the validity of your opinion of the aforementioned product, hell I'll probably even give it a try myself. Do you apply this product in indoor or outdoor grows?

I was also a golf course superintendent for many years.

I use it indoors. Weekly.
Got ya,small world,I'm just a spray tech at a high end Donald Ross course in RI,just got a new boss this yr. due to the tragic death of my prior boss. A really great even tempered guy who passed from complications of a deviated septum operation,a simple procedure relatively odds of dying less than 1%. A brutally hard season, worst in 23 yrs. New guy is OK,very young though, just trying to make it work and make the best of it,you know the game,if it can go wrong it probably will at some point. We have a veteran crew and I've told my new boss that the members hate change and just want stability, just keep the greens nice and your golden, you've got a long leash just don't make waves and you can retire here. He's only 31yo. and in 23 yrs. I've had 2 supers, first one retired after about 35 yrs. and handed to my boss who served as asst for 10 yrs, everything was rolling along great until this tragedy occurred.Take care,ps. did you retire or leave the golf industry?

Change on the course is always a big deal. I took on the job of rebuilding the course and got it back to a well rated course. I had a crew of veterens and could not done it without them. Everyone wanted to see the old girl back to her former glory. Mission accomplished and I retired.

Agreed on roughest season, big drought, all kinds of problems. It isn't for the faint of heart lol.

Enjoy your retired years man,bet dealing w/club pres. ,greens chairman, members boards, and the politics of the job are certainly not the aspects that you miss.I don't think that people understand the jack of all trades nature of a G.Course Super. You have to juggle administrative issues, multi-tiered budgetary issues, crew and member relations, mechanic and plumber knowledge, and of course taking care of the grass. IMHO it requires a highly intelligent, even tempered, people person to "get it done". Kudos to you for being able to walk into the sunset after what I know can be a very stressful job.

My plants have spider mites. I lost my plants last year to these little buggers. I sprayed with insecticidal soap and killed the buds. I hate this, every time in September I get these mites. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to safely get rid of these things. My brother said he sprayed his with Raid but I think that’s crazy. Any help would be appreciated.
by far the safest way to rid most pests from your plants. Any plant! You can even use it during flower.

Neem oil with alcohol isopropyl there is a thread on here about it. Animals don't belong anywhere near your grow as I suspect you have a cat or dog. When im in flower i shower before even opening my grow room and i take nothing from other growers. I got them from another grower once but never again as they will consume your whole plants by the time you get rid of them. DO NOT LET ANY ANIMALS NEW YOUR GROW AREA AS THEY PICK THESE CRITTERS UP OUTSIDE AND INTO YOUR GROW THEY GO. Happy growing good luck

Basically a good idea to keep your friends out of there as well. I don't think using neem oil during flower is a good idea. If you are in bloom the spider mites will migrate towards the flower. After that they decimate everything.

I keep everything and all out of my grow room period! There are some good writers on RIU that can help you but prevention is the FIRST AND BIGGEST STEPS! I will not even open the door on my grow room without a shower and clean clothes!

Nothing wrong with taking drastic measures. If you are working in your yard or your garden, I agree at the very least you should change clothes.
