.. caught the pest problem right after i pulled Clones from mom i was given...
I have since quartined all clones and mom in a separate room far from grow area. Treated at first with cinnamon powder, cayanne, black pepper powder.
Clones were in rapid rooters which i rolled in mixand sprinkled ( this is when i thought it was just gnats). Day two of inspection.. found what i believed to be a creature from the dark side.. thripe. Went out and bought DE food grade mixed with remaining soil and potted the remaining 7 clones.(13 total)
Layered wet /dry with DE inbetween layers.
Fed with my baby food and DE, chamomile, cinnamon, dawn and veg. oil soak. Mom was fed ph and cal mag water with tea mix. All received fresh layer of dirt and DE sprinkled on top. Remaining liquid was used for foliar. Day three cut bad tips and leaves off mom put under scope and noticed mites. ARGHHHH!!
Day four. Went and bought green cleaner. Still did the Spray of DE second time.
Today i noticed some edges and tips on mom that were brown are now black. And black dots in top leaves. Three, in all. But i hate bugs so enoughfor me. The amount i f found under leaves suggests i caught it early yet my scope is an app on my phone and some look like some. leaves had larva coming out top.
The treatment times had altered. Mom 6hr. rest started at 3. Clones at midnight.. Then she would be pulled into a separate closet and brought back after clones were treated.
Wow...it hit me, i was probably reinfecting them.
So I am getting them all on the same schedule and doing a treatment with the green cleaner. Got The entire room gut it out and sprayed down with green cleaner then floors cleaned up from the de I sprinkled.
Wiped all plants down with Dawn then spray and place them all back in room then lights out.
Temp avg70
Rh avg 60.. and these are pretty much set even with dry ice I couldn't bring the temperature down.
So would these pests cause black tips? does it seem like I'm doing the right process and I've heard that alternating treatments helps with the control and I plan on doing 8 treatments. Originally was going to be every other day but I think the first two with tthis green cleaner will be one right after another.
Ideas? Input?
