Spider Mites 2 weeks before harvest. Am I screwed?

PHUCK! I thought I had made it safe in my green house and not got infected with spider mites. Guess I was wrong, I have webs developing on my buds.... My plants are so big and beautiful.

Currently there are 4 infected, and those 4 are ready to be harvested in 1-3 weeks. The other 6 are Sour Diesel and have about 3-4 weeks or so left, and aren't infected...yet. I released 100's of lady bugs yesterday, and I hope they so some work. But is there anything I can do to save my beautiful buds? I've seriously put SOO much money and time into this outdoor greenhouse project. Is there any organic bug sprays or anything I can use to kill them? I'm even willing to harvest later if it takes longer to kill them. Please help me, this is my first grow and I am pretty depressed thinking that my buds are going to be ruined now. Thanks

i would advise spraying the undersides of your leaves with azamax thoroughly, and then afterwards use a fogger, they make the dr doom ones, and you can use those supposedly within a day of harvest. however, they have been said to be of a weak percentage, and here is another one, but i cant remember the name... same stuff, just higher concentrate. both are natural, and i think both are certified organic, but the azamax for sure is... ive had dealt with spider mites and i can attest to azamax being very effective, the fogger i would use to hit the areas where you would be spraying... watch the humidity afterwards when your spray, after you spray kick some fans on in there or something get some airflow going if youre that late... dont worry, its not the end of the world, but at first its scary. preventative maintenance is what ive learned to do now.

oh also, btw, you want to do work with that azamax, drench your plants paying close attention to places where branches join, and spots that might have air pockets that would protect them... wear gloves and move your plants around to get everything, it should come with a multidirectional nozzle to help your spray under leaves... and i mean drench them fuckers, when treating my tent grow i use an entire bottle and maybe a little bit more... the pack should come with like 16 vials that you mix with tap water, so you get 16 bottles full... if you notice places with webs spray them directly then lightly massage with your fingers to work the stuff into the air pockets... that should beat them back good, and if you need to do another application in a week to take care of the hatchlings...

thanks for the help defcom. Is azamax something I can pick up at a local garden or hydro store or is it mainly online? Also, are my buds salvageable? I mean, they are all looking DANK and I really don't want to lose them to these lame little micro bugs.

ok so tonight I sprayed my plants lightly with a 25% alcohol/ 75% water solution and I am going to release more lady bugs tomorrow. I also bought some 3-in-1 plant insect spray that is 1% neem oi extract. Would putting neem oils on my mature buds/plants destroy them? My bubba probably could be stretched to 2 weeks from now max and the other 3 to maybe 3 and a half weeks. Can I neem oil them or should I keep applying alcohol mix and see if the lady bugs take care of them? Thanks for any help, this is my first real grow and would hate to lose what I have worked so hard at. Thanks

Also, when I was at the garden store today, I almost bought this organic soap spray or this other organic insecticide which said safe to use up to day of harvest. I just dont know what to do, these things are in in like week 7 of flowering and just want these gone.

Use what ever you got as soon as you can, if you got something spray with neem oil by all means use it, try to stick to the leaves, mainly the underside cause thats where theyll be laying there eggs. I just basicly lost 15 out of 20 plants to spider mites, first time I had them I mangaged to get rid of them with azamax, neem oil sprayed and diluted and fed directly into the soil, if you can get a fogger that will also help. Just dont let up and be extremely aggressive cause they can spread extemely quickly, keep posting so hopefully you can run into that has some more helpful info, Im 1 for 2 against mites, so hopefully you can find someone undefeated, lol, best of luck to you my man, peace!

I just called the hydro store and the guy says he uses stuff called "Zero Tolerance" all the way up to the day of harvest and it doesnt affect anything. Supposedy he says it works great. Anyone ever hear of this stuff?

Ok so I treated with Ed Rosenthal's Zero-Tolerance today at a cut rate of 3 parts ZT to 1 part water. I hope this does the trick without burning the plants. I was also reading on here that pyrethrum bombs are safe for late flowering, is this true? Also, if I released lady bugs tomorrow night would the pesticide kill them too?

I released thousands of lady bugs and they didnt really make a difference at all, not to say they dont work, but they sure didnt do anything for me, but hey its worth a try. Use whatever you can get your hands on, I havent heard of the zero tolerance but I would give it a shot, anything at this point is well worth the money and time to try and salvage as much as you can, I hate those fuckin mites, they cost me tons of cash, the little bastards....good luck my man, peace

So I have done some reading, but I still don't understand. How do the mites "ruin" the bud? I've seen people saying they throw away the entire crop because of them. Why is this? They are seriously worth throwing away weed for?

What I did today was cover mine with a bag threw a straw in it and fumigated them it worked really well I dont know about the eggs but i killed a shit ton, I'm gonna do it again tomorrow

Dunno how big your plants are but im sure you could be crafty and use some plastic wrap

Just blew smoke cigg or bud into it for like 20 minutes

I am dealing with the same thing. I have decided to use tape to get as many off as I can.I already had to cut down on plant,it was so loaded and sick. I have 3 others that must have a little better resistance(?) but they too are infested. So, one by one ,leafg by leaf,I am using duct tape and or packing tape to pull them off and trash 'em. Don't use it on the buds though. I put the buds in a trash bag and i CO2-ed them. The mites are dead,so I am looking at them through a magnifier and keeping the best. I think many mite went to the bottom of the bag while being gasses(?) this being my first battle-I don't know. Good Luck!!

Hi @majkjems -- and welcome to Roll It up. You posted in an old thread that hasn't seen any action since 2010. You might want to start your own thread to draw a bit more attention to your own situation. In the meantime, I don't think your tape and CO2 approach will work. It may look better or make you feel better but they will come back. They won't be really gone.
