Spider Farmer Upgrade for my 4 x Samsung LED MOD FSERIES GEN3 3500K Strips?

Hiya guys,

Please can anyone advise if the newer versions of LEDs, like the Spider Farmer, run cooler than older diy built lights? I'd like to upgrade from my 216w to, say 300-450w.

I'm just worried about the heat. My current diy built lights run high 70's to low 80's so I can't take more heat.

Thanks in advance!

Happy growing!

Your F series strips use LM561C diodes, the SF lights that use LM301 diodes are only going to be about 10-15% more efficient. I would just DIY more strips, and try remote mounting the drivers to cut down on the heat in the grow room.

As stated above remote the drivers, enlarge the exhaust, run lights at night, etc...... Can help with the increase in wattage
Ahhhh... So if I go from a 4" to a 5" extractor, will that make a difference in temps? Think Nukakola was saying my current lights are fairly decent. So, larger extractor, remote mount my drivers, and I should be able to add one or two more strips.

Cheers guys.
