Nope.. They were cheaper and now they are nearly as spendy as a HLG To bad they don't have great customer service the way that HLG does. Oh and they are totally rebuildable if its needed.

After weeks of extensive research I found the Mars TS-1000 has the highest PAR at 16” with 500. But it is 140w. The SF-1000 has a PAR of 400 with 100w. I ended up going with the HLG-65 for veg and when I’m ready to invest in flowering I will get a larger HLG. You can buy the boards for dirt cheap and assemble them yourself.

Ya, I think I paid around $12-$13 per 1.5 cu ft bag. I don't fully remember. It was almost 2 years ago. I bought like 11 or 12 bags. Now it's no-till.

Ya, I still have a lot to learn though. FFOF was super easy, but it's easier not to have to mess with soil much. I'm working on just using plain water, and top dressing.
Here's my clone only Green Crack that's a few weeks into flowering.

Got to get some watering carrots from Blue Mat. Hope that's what their called. Seems like people who use them love them especially with a top dress style of feeding.

Thanks, It didn't stretch much more. This strain doesn't stretch much at all. It's like the 6th time I've grown it. I've got it's babies in my veg tent.

You'll definitely want more than an SF1000 in a tent that size, I run an sf2000 in a tent with half the area and I wound up adding an HLG65 as well because I felt like the plants were craving more light

I can't believe how expensive the SF lights are now! I got my SF2000 for $205 on Amazon, the cheapest I've seen it recently is $299 ... it's a fine light but there's no way I'd pay $300 for it.

Paid $135 for my first sf 1000 2nd was almost $160. Have since bought a few HLG 260 3000k that I can wait to set up and flower a forest under.
