Cheezy the growers I'm talking about are 60+ not young guys they r the OGs of this, and that is were the term came from and I care because we always over the people that make it possible for us to get were we r.

If u really think a breeder named a cross after a gang term ur not.so smart the Igangs flipped it after.

Really the only reason the names are there cause theyre are different cuts....
Most of the names have been changed .. and honestly people dont know what there dealing with ....
But og as a flavor exists .. and u can call it ogankles ..doesnt bother me ..
I let my nose be the judge... (some places will put any name on an og to sell it true... but thats beside the point)

For instance presidential og ..its really the apoth cut .... but youll see it in the clubs now as presidential or obama...
Just og again...
Even my dispenciary has about 7 different ogs ... but theyre using the same cut ....
They change the name since different growers grow it and they use diferent flowering times and nutes ...so the finished product is different....
Now they just put wierd names that u cant look up on the net or find documented... but the pateints know when they get there which is which ... so its really like anything else just a product .... that needs a name .... og or no og... (my clubs are legit... theyre are bad clubs that mislabel )

you guys are so right that the names are just that ....
kinda like when u go to thw grocery store... there are 50 kinds of cheeze... some motz, cheeder, etc...
but lets say u want american ... there are like 5 of those .... Why ?
Cause diffferent people make them ... just like meds different growers grow them... and u can say all cheez is the same ...
But we know there are 100's of different cheezes... just like mj..

So u dont like chedder..... I know its played out... but its my fave ... doesnt make me an idiot cause i like what i like...

The truth is there is og kush ... and it exist ..im sorry to burst your bubble...(its more of a hybrid)
But some of the newer ogs are just as good as the true unmolested cuts...
Calll them what u want .... but og taste is reallly distinct...(and structure...easy to spot when growing..)
I like unmolested classic og as much as i like my blue larry , master , sour dubs... but dont get me wrong theres a good variety out...
There is an abudance of strains out there besides og... where do u live..lol
But when u go in to my local shops the ogs will pretty much be the top shelves ... and the tasteist ... maybe just my preference....

Whats a shame is during the proliferation of kush and og kush .... it was illegal... and most were grwoing illlegal and buying off the streets....
So there is no documentation of it... and no one guy who invented it....
It was just a nice plant that took over the scene ..and would sell for ridicoulous prices....
The entertainers and strippers in the valley were smoking this long before the name og came into play....
Just remember its just a friggin plant , flavor , thats been molested ... but theyre are actuall growers who have come over my house and that ive met with over the years ... who have been growing for way longer than me.... who ive come to understand just got the cut along time back... no magic beans..lol
And the only thing that anyone will agree on is it was there and sold in clone form long ago ...
Some where just lucky enuff to keep a cut ... before shit hit the fan...

Think about it agent orange is just another strain .... with a cool name attached to it....
The term og derived from the streets .... not from some old 60 yr old...
Most old timers never will see eye to eye with the younger med community...
Its a whole new era .... welcome to the wonderful world of weed....lol

You talk of og like its the anti christ .... its a friggen weed..lol

the breeders / breeder ..doesnt exist .... who ever they are they dont care anymore....
It was just a damn cross with the kush from the mountians way out in the middle east...
Crossed wih some other shit....

The people in it didnt make up that name .... the shit was just called kush ....
They were making boatloads of money.... use your imagination....
They werent in it for the notiriety or fame....
It was an easy sell cause the shit was so dank for its time...

I have talked to some older growers and some tell me the shit out now is way better than then ... others say it was better than...( i guess it depends)
But i wasnt there so i diont know....

The name has nothing to do with an old breeder dude...lol

Because its some good bud, but you act like its gods gift to mankind its just some good dank and we need some more variety. Not only that there is no such thing as OG Kush there is not and never has been OG Kush, its always just been OG, and if you dont know what im talkin about then you havent been around long enough to know. I know the history of the cut, some of the OG's out there with names in front actually are the original cut with a hinky name in front for selling points, but if you know how to diagnose what you got for plants off of structure and terpenoid smell then you know how to tell what you got. I've grown out so damn many of these new "ogs" and almost all of em are not even anywhere close to OG. Very few were like my cut and i didnt like them as much as mine either.

You have much to learn about the history of the cut man you can't get your stories straight you say its one thing then you say its another, the one thing i will definitavely tell you is that its a sativa dominant hybrid has a 3 finger trait yields like fuckin ass even when you have it dialed you get low to average yields. Also didnt originate on the west coast ;)

Og is nice but flavor and variety are the spices of life good sir.

Anything i grow moves, cuz its all about the love you put into the plant and knowing if your customers want indicas or sativas or hybrids or all of the above, i grow everything but pure sativas, and all of it goes. never had a problem with that in fact i move more non og bud than OG and i produce more OG than the others lol. Go figure right?

so og has been kicked to the corner in the mother room for now for personal only.

okay you win .... your the type that doesnt think og is real anymore or is watered down now...
The problem is most my friends want og no matter how great my bubba , master or blue dream is ...... and i grow otther stuff and chief the og to myself...... lol personal problem lol thats my line been usingit for years...lol
But i dont grow that much ...im a hobbyiest .... and only been growing for 3yrs now..... i dont push to the shops anymore.... since they only want pounds.. and i cant produce so much in my little room...

And this is why dispisaries have master OG Kush,OG purple kush, OG Kush, and All kinds of other fake made up strains or crosses including the best OG master pre 98 bubba master Kush or some.rediculous shit like that. U try to give some 1 OG and there like OG what?

theres real og still man its just hard to come by and it upsets me that the whole cannabis world is mostly ignorant to this fact, i like history and i love this plant and it pains me greatly to see the gene pool of cannabis being degraded by all these new school breeders pumpin out shit and namin it shit just so it sells. Im an opinionated ass ill be the first one to admit it. But as wiz said id gladly smoke your bubba blue dream or anything else you grew before i would take the OG unless for some reason your OG was above and beyond the rest of what you grew. I dont produce en mass either man but my customers are satisfied because i give them dank. It doesnt have to be OG to be dank is all im saying and im just tired of seein OG crosses bein called OG just call it a dif name, not anything wrong with the cross, its just a fucked ass naming situation degrading a truly interesting strain that should have a place in most peoples gardens. Canna is right medically its not the greatest bud but fuck does it get me ripped. By that alone it deserves a spot in the garden but that doesnt mean it should be the focus. This all started as a comment i made about bein tired of seein nothin but OG, its the truth there isnt anything hardly but OG in cali that is any good...

Sorry if it seemed like i was pickin a fight i was not like i said im an opinionated ass ;) i also dont open my mouth about much but OG has always been a strain i've liked since i was a youngun, and it just hurts to see somthing i treasured once so diluted watered down and generally misunderstood.

I respect your opinion and if we differ we can agree to disagree. Dank is dank regardless of name, but i really like knowing what im growing/buying truthfully. Im kinda OCD like that lol

The OG strains are in mad demand in all the clubs. I guess the "OG" name just reallly sells. Had 3 clubs calliing me this week asking if I had any OGs. Told em ii did but only gonna be for personal smoke since this is the my first time with these OG strains. All of them really want the SFV OG. So that might be the strain I will be replacing the purple erkle with at the collective grow.

I got some good blue dream last week. Seriiously fire! Then I got sum diesel dream (sour d x blue dream) right now and it is amazing. Mostly the blue dream phenos showed cuz only thing that was sour d was a little bit of the taste. I would definetly like to grow some myself. Gonna ask around for some clones. Can't wai to start on that Herjowana too!

If u guys need cuts I can prolly get u guys sum.

I grew a blue larry (larry og x blue dream)..... For the third time now.....
The blue dream always dominates the flavor....

You should stop by and trade sum cuts with me sometime...

Thanks man. Yeah the sfv is definetly real. I met the grower I got it from and I bought some sfv from the club and smells right on the dot!

I don't have any mothers of my own except the sour diesel (which I can't trade sorry, gta keep that to myself). But I do have a couple good buddies with plenty of different strains so once I go to pick some up ill let u know and well work something out. Were u interested in the sfv?

Whats up everyone! This thread exploded! I just got back from the chico area got all the way down here to the palm springs temecula area last night 12 hours later! After a few rolling rocks and bong loads i dont think i was even able to see straight! haha So yea i was talkin to luger on here hes in oc and a pretty cool cat. I told him we could throw a lil harvest get together since i just lost my dad and could use all the friends that i have! It be a good time I will tell him to post up in here.


What do you guys think? Me and the guys get together once or twice a month as i was tellin muppet man! how ya been captain kron?
