So i am reading about using comfrey as an awesome fertilizer.

The total immediately available NPK of comfrey is:
0.35 – 0.73 – 7.35

total NPK of comfrey is:

3.7* – 1.21 – 8.43

Where do i get it though?

Is this something that can only be acquired through growing yourself and processing it at home?

Is there a high quality online souce for the manure or leaf powder of comfrey?

I was lucky in that the local homesteading/garden store had some fresh and alive.
you gotta get yourself some though, it's SO awesome.
hell I've been contemplating a veganic grow using a leaf/grass compost, neem meal, kelp, and comfrey.

Just for the hell of it though, i'm not all caught up in the "veganic" trend

and for the record.. i'd NEVER abandon using worms, so I suppose it's not a REAL veganic grow... but shit the microbes ARE animals, so is a true veganic grow even possible??

I think @Wetdog would too.
let me go do some re-research
here is a copy paste.
and it looks to be close to it
Researchers in British Columbia analyzed the NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) ratio of comfrey leaves by air-drying them and analyzing the powdered leaf tissues. They found that the leaves have an impressive proportion of 1.8-0.5-5.3. To compare, kelp meal has an NPK ratio of 1.0-0.5-2.5, and homemade compost ranges from 0.5-0.5-0.5 to 4-4-4 (depending on what ingredients you use). Comfrey is also rich in calcium and many other valuable plant nutrients it mines from deep in the subsoil.

5.3% potassium is impressive.
I think the 3/2/3 I remembered was maybe nettles?
heres a good link

Not sure of the total NPK other than what I Google.

I bought the Bocking-14 variety. Sterile and won't take over the earth. I'll be able to look up where I purchased, but I quick Googled Bocking-14 Comfrey and there look to be a number of promising retailers, including one on Amazon

Can't say I have seen any Comfrey for sale that has already been grown in my travels. NPK will vary depending on how and what it was grown in. Comfrey is like Cannabis as far as the fact they both will uptake just about everything in the soil into the plant. Like hemp it can be planted where chemical spills happened and it will pull the chemicals into the plant and it can be cut down and taken to a toxic waste dump. Also can be used to clean up farmland that has been sprayed with synthetic pesticides so they can be certified organic. So growing it in some good clean organic soil is a good idea. You can get comfrey seeds all over online, ebay amazon and tons of seed sites. Which reminds me I should germinate a few more comfrey beans now that i am thinking about it.

I have bocking 4 and bocking 14 from richters seed last year, as small plants, I did not harvest them last year and neglected them a bit, this year they have taken off!! They other thing is ask a landscaper, a lot of people have comfrey growing as a weed in their yard and would gladly let you harvest all you want.
