not much new to report. gettin closer and i'm getting antsy. trichs are still almost all clear, but more cloudy and brown hairs by the day. i will try and put together a summary on the major learning points of this grow when it's all said and done through harvest and everything. for now, the main lesson since last update is to have something ready to support the branches when the buds are getting heavy :weed:

not as stinky as i'd heard they'd be. it's funny because the tent is in my garage and they do have a hint of fuel smell with pine and grapefruit when they wake up. by the end of the day it's more like mint and orange peels. i'm not sure which i like better. i think i'm leaning towards the sweeter evening scent to harvest at.

Gettin close! longest i've seen anybody recommend is 75 but i dunno. i don't want to take 'em down early. about 40% brown hairs and still plenty of clear trichs. i'll let you guys know the first amber one I find. is it normal to have middle fan leaves yellow up and die? or is it a N deficiency that I didn't account for so late in flower? can take better pics in real light tomorrow.

IMO...It is normal to see signs of yellowing in fan leaves towards the end of it's flowering cycle. We figure it is using up the last of its stored up nutrients and giving signs of ripeness. Also we notice "some" not all strains have trichs that do not go amber at all. It is all looking great tho! 75 day's WOW you really got good patience... Keep up the great work!!

hey greather's back! hahaha but yeah it is taking forever!!! they're looking like they're well worth the wait though. believe me, i was hurting at 8 weeks wishing they were ripe then. now we're starting week 11.

interesting about the trichomes. because they have really swollen up and are doing swirly cotton candy. it seems for an OG sativa amber trichs might counter act the upiddy type of high. if all the clear ones go cloudy and no ambers i'll chop for sure :weed:

Experimental chop down!!!! :leaf::-P:leaf::-P

Cut down 1 girl at 75 days. she was a little premature, but damn its taking forever!!! She was at the point where I knew she could go longer, yet still get some dank off her. Plus it's another little experiment within an experiment. Already the buds on the other three look way more swollen, but at the same time i got some test smoke after a 3 day dry and it's already a bomb sativa! :lol: I'm so stoked to be cheifin my very own home grown lol. I don't know if it's the bowl i packed or the fact that I had a successful first harvest but i am in a great mood.

1 sour diesel from clone. 28 day veg. 75 day flower. 90 grams dry at beginning of cure. stay tuned, smoke report, grow summary, and outdoor journal to follow....

well the most feedback I got on heavy sativas was that it might not always be the amber trichomes. I've heard that sometimes it's best to watch the hairs. So i want to let them go until there is no more new, green growth. the one I just chopped was 60/40 brown/white hair. i have class mon - thurs so i'll be doing a close inspection this weekend.

Nice chop misty. Bet that dank is going to be pretty tasty! On my first grow I was chopping early too hahaha. All and all you still have others going still so you won't be short on smoke for a while;-). Great job on your grow it is fun watching it progress.
Oh yeah are you saving your trim for hash?bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie
