Sour Diesel... stretch, topping.

Growing out a couple Sour D's from seed, put one in bloom just about a few weeks ago. One of them was growing quite a bit more compact, which I figured I would keep for cuttings. The taller one I put in my bloom tent, it was perhaps about 2 feet tall. I guess I had it in the back on my mind that this was predominately a Sativa strain... but I wasn't really thinking "THIS IS MOSTLY A SATIVA STRAIN!".

Now it is almost up to my shoulders and I would prefer that it not get any taller. Wiki for this strain says the stretch should stop after 3 weeks. Is this accurate sounding to those who have grown out Sour D?

Topping is still an option I suppose, I've topped plants in early bloom before out of necessity, just not this variety. I will probably keep it underneath a halide bulb as well for several more weeks to see if that helps control the stretch. Any other suggestions?

Could bend it, like a candy cane..my sd's were always floppy
I've topped late in flower, colas swell and mold could be an issue, but mine were really mold resistant... never made em herm doing that..

Once the buds connect she's stopped growing taller for the most part, a few inches.. won't stretch forever like some
Mine went 15 weeks and was some sativa dom bagseed......I've grown out about 30 seeds some had a slight garlic berry taste, found those to be really mold resistant..and yummy.didn't get a tolerance as fast, also it herms late in flower
