Sound during Dark Period

I am just asking in a poll only .... as people have their own conclusions and experiences, but knowing peoples regular grow would help figure this out People tell me otherwise, and as far as I am concerned, plants DON'T SLEEP. They grow 24/7, so "sleep" is a silly term to use in cannabis growing from professionals.

I have a grow shed, and I run the Lights On/Lights Off period opposite of DAY/NIGHT for a number of reasons. I do go into my shed during lights out (there is a tent inside the shed, so tent keeps the darkness).

9x5 shed with a 3x3 grow tent inside and workbench.

If I go in there during the day, I do quietly. Some say I'm nuts, some say I'm good to do this. I think it's stupid but I do it anyway.

My question is - if the lights were out inside the tent, and I'm banging around on my workbench rolling joints and playing music, am I messing up the plant?

OR a better way to say it is just this RATHER than getting 50 opinions.

QUESTION: Does anyone have a grow tent inside a house or room, and during lights out, do you play music, the television or make noise and have had zero issues with the plants?

Think about it this way.. When you sleep, your body is still working. It's repairing itself and physically and mentally from the day's stress. If you hear a loud noise when you're tired, you're usually more startled because you're trying to rest and are not as alert. Plants are the same, and while you probably can't notice the subtle differences, sound does affect them. Classical Indian music I've noticed does help veg. The random noises may actually help in flower, it could potentially force an adrenaline rush so to speak, and maybe increase its protection aka thc.. I'm guessing here, but if you're not doing anything large scale I wouldn't worry too much about the potential loss/gain, your plants will be fine. Again I'm pretty much guessing here, but I hope you have some more insight from my thoughts. Cheers!

Certain frequencies open up the plants stomata. This is a part of Electro-Magnetic Culture. I'm not sure if this website is still up, but check out "sonic bloom". It uses frequencies to open the plant stomata and they have some kind of gibberlic acid to go with it.

Can also apply electricity to your dirt to increase plant growth.

Also, if a lemon tree were growing near a California highway, I don't think the sound of traffic would affect the tree. So I say, rummage away in your shed.

Yes, this is true, just running a ground from outlet into a copper rod stuffed in a pot works, maybe a different alloy should be used. I used to do it, but I made it sloppy and said fuck it, you can also sleep on a ground for positive benefits

Yup. The 2x4 is smack in the middle of our service area in the basement - directly beside our furnace.

That unit cranks out the heat in the cooler/colder months and becomes our central air unit during the summer. It's always kicking on and generating that rumbling "furnace hum" for about 10 minutes every 10 minutes. Does get pretty loud when it's on. We have an air exchange unit, water heater and water softeners that are all coming on and making noise at various and random times during the day.

I'm on my fourth grow with the tent in that location and have not been disappointed in yields or quality. Noise doesn't affect them negatively.

People mention highway or ac noise, just keep in mind that these constant hums are different from sporadic banging. Frequency matters too, a hammer hitting metal is a higher pitch sound than if it were to hit say wood or hard plastic. Just throwing it out there.

My babies love listening to sweet lullabies, seriously, didn't you know, that if you let them listen to sweet lullabies all the days of their life they will produce more sweet sugars, LoL! But all kidding aside, when I was kid back in the late 60(s) I worked on a farm in Iowa, and old farmer Johnson would play sweet lullabies in all his greenhouses from sunset to sunrise, and though that may sound crazy, all his vegetables seemed to thrive because of that!

I forced my plants to listen to Black Sabbath 24 hours a day, and the buds turned a beautiful black color. I think I'm going to try Deep Purple next, or maybe some Blue Oyster Cult.
