Hello all! Im having some issues with my babies and am not sure what exactly is going on. Hopefully i can be thorough enough so you can make a diagnoses.
(please excuse my bad grammer)
I have 16 plants(galactic jack) thats been in veg, 24/7 light, for about a month now.
Im using black gold soil. For the most part have been under 600 watt mh.
Seems like everything was going great... until my 600 watt digital ballast stopped working. They were in complete darkness for about 24 hours. I had to get all the spare bulbs in the house (cfls), along with 150 watt hps and 90 watt ufo (ufo is freaking useless) a total of about 430 watt. So they were like that for about a week. Lots of stretching going on. They didnt look too happy, but i dont think thats when the wilting began.
Seems like the middle and bottom of the plants are ok, but the top are wilting pretty bad.
After they had been under all the random lights for about a week, i got a 1000 watt hps setup i put in there. So now they have been under 1000 watt hps (still vegging 24/7) for about 4 days. I was hoping once i put that in there they would start to flourish in about a day or two. When they continued to look unhappy, i transplanted them from a 2 gal grow bags (filled about 2/3rds) to 3 gal grow bags in hopes that that would give them a boost, and today, 24 hours later, still wilting at the top.
I have a co2 tank with a regulator im using for the first time, and i have cheap timers that only have 30 min increments. So for the few days ive had the 1000 watt hps in there, the ac and fans would turn off for 30 min while co2 enrichment was taking place. temps got crazy! 68-95 degrees. So after a few days of crazy bad temps, i just unplugged the co2 for now and am keeping the ac on at all times to keep a steady 72-78 degrees. I also raised the lights to about 30 inches away.
Ive only had to water them about 4 times. Every time just plain water except for the last feeding, i gave them 1/4th recommended fox farm grow big.
Also, im not sure what the exact ph is. Should be around 6.5-7.0...I use the drops to determine ph level. i have a hanna ph tester, but after i calibrate it, it just always seems to give weird readings (its old). BUT... I think i might have screwed up and forgot to adjust the ph the second to last feeding, which i think i gave them water with ph probably over 8.
So im thinking the main things that could be causing this is 1. temp was out of control for too long. 2.the one time high ph feeding 3. maybe over watering (i dont think thats it)4. or maybe their just hungry for more nutes?
Any help or comments are much appreciated
AND....so sorry all pics under hps light. im hoping this is an easy diagnoses and pics dont matter that much, but if needed i will def take some more without hps on. Plus my camera sux too, so that not good.
