something is eating at my plant

Well lets see this morning i went to my spot and found that a baby plant that is still potted some of the bottom stem is missing all the way around. for instance lets just say my plant is an inch thick and the part that something ate is only a half inch thick now. any one have any ideas?:confused:

seriously tho, the DEER eat it all here. there ain't no half inch left. THEY EAT IT ALL MUTHA FUGGAs... damn them.........................

Snails and slugs are the main culprits of lower stem munch.
Put some dishes of beer/lager around your area.
Make sure the slugs and snails can get in but that you have a roof on your containers to stop them being rained out.:blsmoke:
