What kind of organic ferts you use? Just got me some espoma tomato tone. I was thinking about using it this year. 1st time trying a few organic plants. Maybe I'll just stick to Jacks Classic on all 5 girls, after reading this. Dont need anythingddigging up my bitches. However, i always start in 1 gallons 1st, so i can sex em and let them get bigger before going in the ground. Btw, are you sure its the fertilizer theyre after. Probably just trying to get high off the leaves. lol Good luck.

a campfire oxidised chicken wire fence would be the best answer for this 1 spot, but if a fence goes up and someone just happens to stumble along for whatever reason this summer then the whole area will stick out like a sore thumb even a dumb ass would know whats up!! and carrying garden sprayers with piss or whatever gets to be a pain in the ass when you could be carrying nutes to ur gardens especially if you are hiking up hill!!! and dont have a close water source, you can only carry so much weight and i don't trust no one else to help me when it comes to growing money trees!!

Man I know a few things about deer. Human urine does not bother them. Dog hair can work..is easy to carry. Shouldn't be your own dog though. Hang it off the ground on shrubs or right on the plants. Mother in law does this for her flowers and it works..for awhile. Deer will get used to it and ignore it. Then switch to dirty socks or something. Human scent bothers them..not piss

YOur problem came from the blood meal you sprinkled around your plants. its like a dinner bell for foxes, racoons etc.

Im with Pickle8...bone meal will attract predatory animals. With regards to the deer I had the same problem but took care of it very easily. I started with 50 pound test fishing line and tied a perimeter at 2' and at 4'. Deer are afraid of anything that touches them which they cannot see. I also made a mix of rotten eggs, water, garlic and hot peppers and poured it around the plants no closer than 4'. No more ladies disappeared after this.

its raccoons and possumms eating the dirt years ago i had same problem before and put out some poison beside them and when i went back there were dead possums and coons, then i felt a little bad for killing them like that, but was happy that they were not eating my dirt any more

i jumped the gun this season and planted wayy too early...like before the last frost early!.. but my plants stayed strong and are lookn good..but when i went to check up the other day i found deer tracks and something maby the deer? is digging up my girls and eating the fertilizer?? WTF? this happened 4 dayz after i sprayed about a gallon of my own piss around my patch in a garden sprayer.....so i took some blood meal and sprinkled around all 12 of them!....will this keep the fukn deer or whatever away from getting into the slow release fertilizer???...has anyone had this problem before??? last year in a whole different area this happened and i had to drag a baby dead deer out of my guerilla patch into a field.....this only happens the first couple weeks into the season then its all good from there on out....
The Blood meal is what they are after.

i sprinkled the blood meal around the plants for extra nitrogen and to keep deer out after the dig ups for the (salts) in the slow release fertilizer kuz i figure thats what there after! so i will see if this works, and im starting to realize that human piss really doesn't do a dam thing to keep deer outta ur patches!! its a crock of shit and a waste of time 4 real!!! i might hafta break down and buy more liquid fence i just totally hate payn for that stuff!! but it worked all last year with no problems!

think you are wrong..you may see a deer print because they were in the area but they are not digging...put up a game camera and see...squirrels..coons and foxes and skunks all are attracted to fresh earth...it uncovers smells and grubs and worms..it is easier to dig in fresh earth then the hard ground...i had the same problem last year...one night i even forgot my alaskan fish emulsion bottle(unopened) brand new and something chewed off the corner of the pretty thick plastic bottle and ate/drank most of it..i put up a camera and saw foz..coons..and a skunk and squirrels all messing with my stuff...neem oil did a decent job of keeping them at bay but i lost plants..some were outright dug up and discarded by the hole and some had their root ripped off by digging so close to the stalk...good luck...deer never gave me a problem eating or digging..but they can lay on them or step on them sometmes

100% right on the money. squirels dig up and eat the pet moss and minerals from it.
