You also have to remember that its Zero Tolerance in texas. a pipe and a gram of pot can get somebody somethin like 6 months in the clink. That shit aint no joke man. Texas is more fucked up than any other state in the US imo. dont understand why they wont fuckin catch up with the times...

had to honest as bad as it sounds, i wish i could take a box to a club like you , my biggest sale ever at one time was only 1.25 lbs. EVER sad to say. honestly i liked the 350 a oz beter than 280 in bulk. Hell 3.5 years ago i was selling grams at the titty bar....... my thought was we all start somewhere.
i have much respect for you too..... i still chuckle everytime you posted buying a 1/8 or something from the club.

i really envy you, fdd you enjoy some of the simple things and still have time to post and enjoy life. i see you get excited about all kinds of goodies, while i fed the monster. you grow for a very low margin in a very simple dwelling with little outside problems.
honestly, i know i made alot of money, but i have had to spend tons of it moving this system all over. and in the same time your still there still churning out monster tree's. And i have invested in properties that i will never get back out and your out a few bags of dirt, and a few gallons of age old grow and bloom . i envy that, i envy the guy that can grow at home for free.
The closest i will ever get to you shock and awe methods, is posting a final picture of all growing equipment i ended up with. i kept buying and buying shit i didnt even need to get bigger. I am sure i will get hundreds of comments, but the real sad part is how much i have lost due to stupidity. i really thought i needed all this. turns out i didnt.like my f-ing generator. Im like some stoner with too much cash for his own good.
Most important is not to idolize me but see how many flaws in my thought and methods. and how stupid it is to tie up so much capitol. honestly it will take me a long time to unload everything including property, and some of these properties have business that are totally NOT PROFITABLE. they lose money... the only way i come out ahead to liquidate.....
thinking about all this sober really makes me sick! there is no rewind button in life. So learn from my mistakes. i have put some real personal shit out so you can see, just for that reason.

Abudsmoker, I spent about $6,000 last year on two small grows. Most of it was for shit I never needed like mylar, a CO2 "boost bucket" (that works for 3 months and then needs a $110 refill), bone meal, blood meal, dolomitic lime, net pots, growing bags, Advanced Nutrients nutes (almost everything they sell), about 30 small CFL's, sockets, pH up, 4 extra bottles of Superthrive, extra rez tubs, a worthless Stealth Hydro unit, a worthless Stealth Hydro meter I paid about $200 for, just crap, crap and more crap. I now have a sytem that works well and takes very little money to maintain. My LED lights cost me a chunk but the cost to burn them is next to nothing. I switched to Ionic Grow/Bloom nutes - 2 one gallon jugs; how simple is that. But I guess it's a process that each of us has to go through. At least you were able to pay for your goodies out of profits; my purchases only create a sucking sound in my wallet. I bought an environment controller for CO2 and 3 other things but I don't know what I'm going to do with it; I'll probably put it on fleabay and sell it to someone else.
There are so many different variables to this, so many many different ways of doing every little facet of growing. Soil, rockwool, hydro, DWC, flood and drain, aero, nutes, meters, lights, so many decisions and I suppose we're all trying to find the way that suits our budget, experience level, goals, etc. We're a better community because of you and your contributions to RIU. Stop by when you can.
There are so many different variables to this, so many many different ways of doing every little facet of growing. Soil, rockwool, hydro, DWC, flood and drain, aero, nutes, meters, lights, so many decisions and I suppose we're all trying to find the way that suits our budget, experience level, goals, etc. We're a better community because of you and your contributions to RIU. I stopped for 25 years, now i only grow personal,any extra i give away for free to my family & close friends,i give away more than we keep for ourselves & thats no shit.
I wouldnt sell an 1/8th ounce for $500,i even bought a small commercial building to grow my personal in because i feel that strongly about not getting my family fucked over for a 2nd time..
Saying he'll be back isnt a fair statement.

I was planning on using shitloads of big cfl and adding more led as I can afford.

Andy, the CFL's are good - but not even close to LEDs. You can buy red, blue or red/blue LED panels on fleabay for $99; after what I've seen with my 3 panels, I'll never use my HPS or MH again. To me, $99 is fairly reasonable compared to a good quality HPS bulb, digital ballast, batwing reflector and a replacement bulb (you're screwed if it blows and you don't have a backup). The LEDs are expected to last 10-15 years, running 24/7 - 365 days a year. Consider that they put out almost no heat (no more accidentally burning your plants and no additional air conditioning to compensate for the heat), provide more usable light to your plants than a 400w HPS and the cost to operate is about a tenth of their cost. My next purchase will be a couple of red panels and a couple of blue ones. I'm going to use the blue ones for vegging and the red ones for flower. I might put a mixed one in the middle just for fun and I'll have a mixed one for my clones. I'm totally sold on these things. Oh yeah, I don't worry about them burning my house down either. I always worried about that happening with the HPS. It happened to another RIU member and did over $8,000 in damage.how did them cfl's treat you?
