Hi all, I just did 1 of my 2 weekly watering visits to the mountains and one of my plants which are all 6-7 inches tall got eatin from the top down! couldnt even see the stem, they ate the whole enchilada:cry: and they also topped one of my other plants which wasnt ready for topping yet:evil:.. grasshoopers maybe?? does anyone have any home remys that do not involve any form of pesticides? im going to put chicken wire around them, but as far as the plant itself im lost on what to do. any and all feedback /well appreciated

well it really depends on what ate your plants it could have been bugs or any other kind of four legged creatures deers love them so it is going to be hard to tell you what to use. so you will have to start with the chicken wire but then find something to help with them little pests.

I've seen grasshoppers eat all the green parts of a plant but leave the inner structure...most likely you could be dealing with mice or rats...they can be trapped with commonly available traps...just need to rope the rat traps down or they'll disappear! You'd be surprised at where deer can go but the addition of the chicken wire should stop 'em.
