Someone PLEASE tell me im trippin.... can you hear a fan through walls?

Im movin into a apartment complex, its pretty nice, not a shitty place so the walls probally wont be PAPER thin, but im not sure how thick they are. Im plannin on puttin a grow tent in my closet... how possible is it that my neighbor could hear the fan through the wall enough to be so annoying that they had to complain? I live in cali with a card so im not worried about the police, at most im worried about getting asked to leave the complex. But im probally gonna buy a whisperline, or another super quiet fan you can't hear those through walls? I dunno im just a lil paranoid i dont want to buy all this shit set it up and then have to take it down. Please tell me if im trippin or not.

wow no that would really be a hard test. turn the fan on and go in the other room or out side. that easy.

I live in an apartment, and i have a closet tent, with a fan that i CAN hear through the wall! I can hear it in my apartment, (in my bedroom and living room) but i doubt my neighbors can hear it. Once you are outside of the bedroom, its pretty quiet. It just sounds like i left my air conditioning on in another room. Most building have air movers of some type, and so even if somebody does hear it, it wont scream "grow!"
The point, if i listen really closely, inside my apartment, i can hear it, but im not too worried about it. Inside the tent, inside the closet, its barely audible. Id put your paranoid concentration towards odor control, that will be the only real issue in keeping your neighbors from knowing.

don't be so paranoid man...i doubt you'd be able to hear it in an ajacent apt.....i used to know this girl who smoked crack, when she was high she thought the people in the next apt could hear the lighter being lit and the sizzle sound of the crack! thats just one of many stories i have about how paranoid people get when high, like im talking ducking down in their own apartment and convinced a swat team is outside ready to bust in...lol
