Some updates on my first grow...with pics

Hello everyone,

I posted this update "On my first Grow" thread in the general area but not to many people saw it and was just looking for any feedback....

Just figured I would post a few updates with pics on my first grow. I ended up with 4 females after sexing and I got rid of 1 female that was just thin and not growing like the other 3. The 3 females now have out grown my room (6+ feet tall) so I have been continually training the plants into kind of sideways "S" shapes (see diagram) and pulling all the branches through to one side. Pics are from this morning just a few min before the lights came on so they were alittle droopy...

I just recently had some PH problems (8.1) when I was away for work and my wife was caring for them, but they are recovering well after a good flush and getting the run off around the low 6's now.

Being sativa looking (old bag seed so I don't really know) and only 3 1/2 weeks into flowering I figure anther 5-8 maybe? Any ideas?

Any guesses on what I may yield based on the pics at 3 1/2 weeks into flower?? I am curious for my first grow...1oz dry? 2oz dry?

Let me know if there is anything that doesn't look right - I'm still learning!

3 weeks flowering? where the buds at?

what light are you running cuz 3 1/2 weeks in the buds should be much bigger. from the lookes of the last pic id say more light. plant look great good and healthy. what are you feeding for bloom nutes.

Thats exactly what I thinking - they seem slim for 3 1/2 weeks. But I have noticed the hairs filling in a lot the last few days. I have been giving them FF tiger bloom regular dosage started right when I switched to 12/12 and I just started with molases 2 days ago. I have the light about 12" away now - I am just hoping that being sativa they just going to take longer 10-12 weeks as some have said....

THIS IS TRUE WITH THE SATIVA. JUST HANG IN THERE BROTHEY WILL FATEN UP. THEY LOOK GOOD

I hope they do....

They actually seem to have filled in a lot in the last day looking at pics again. I just snapped a shot 5 min ago and they look quite a bit better than the pics from a day and half ago...still thin, but better.

Any other suggestions?


I forgot you asked about light - 400hps with 3 - 65 watt cfls for fillers around the sides.

your on it bro. keep it up there comeing on.

Your Sativas do look fine but next grow go 7 - 9 female and add a 600 watt hps with your 400 hps and drop the cfl's altogether.If you grow really good here you might get a lb or just under.Next generation seed company has some very good strains for a good price.Try Dynamite it is Afghani x Northern lights # 3 x White series like rhino or Widow.The plants are very potent at 28% THC and the yield is crazy heavy.i have 9 plants under a 600&400 watt hps and after 2.5 weeks of flower the buds are very frosty already and the size of most after 5 weeks.Indica like Dynamite only reaches a height of just over 3 ft but it is really branchy and you get more bud sites than sativas.I like sativa but indica is the way too go.Try getting Kush seeds purple or Bubble.Bubble is the best weed i have smoked in 10 yrs.Taste is amazing and the high is total couchlock then munchy time.In other words don't make any plans once you bong this stuff.Never seen a weed with so many crystals in my life.Even more than white widow.Peace
