Hey guys im noticing some brown/yellow spots at the tips of leaves. 70 % of the leaves have brown tips and are crispy. I'm using a 3.7 litre aerogarden veggiepro with an additional 25W CFL as you can see in my pictures. I'm adding 5-7 ml of Flora Nova Bloom ( 4-8-7) weekly. The bud doesn't seem affected but i'm worried because of whats starting to happen to tons of the leaves. I'm very new at this. What would you suggest?

Forgot to mention...front left is Hindu Kush, front middle and front right is White Widow XXX and the big one in the back is Shiskaberry

Thanks a lot!

What is your temp, ph, and ppm? Everything looks good man, how far along in flower are you?
The larger one in the back was planted halfway through November and the three in the front were from the end of November. I don't have a ppm meter or a ph meter either. temp range is 68F -78F

Some of my friends still encounter discoloration when their plants go into flowering. I expect a little because all the plants energy is going into the reproductive cycle but it seems to be more extreme with them than with me. Let me guess; this started when you went from 16/8 on the lights to 12/12 and changed you nutes from a veg formula to a flowering formula, right? This has been their experience and there is an easier way. Next time try a gradual change of one hour per week on the light schedule and maybe a different brand of nutes. It made a big difference for me with the Aerogarden.

Yeah haha that's exactly what i did. You seem like you know a good amount about the aerogarden. Do you have any additional lighting other than whats on the aerogarden? i have the aerogarden veggiepro , im not even sure how many watts it has. i also have an additional 20 Watt CFL, i'm finding that my buds are looking great but just not very large.

Looks like nutrient lockout to me from having your ph too high. Get ph test paper, very inexpensive. You can also pick up a cheap tds meter (kind used to test water quality) for $15. You have to know your ph and ppm or whatever you harvest will be by sheer luck. The better meters are quicker and more accurate but you need to know NOW.

Isch91: I think you need to resign yourself to the fact that your buds are going to be smaller in an A/G. I believe that they're scaled down to the size of the unit. If you have a seven holes model with a three lamp hood and the tall 24" arm/light stand that's about as good as it gets. Any thing smaller is an up hill battle. I don't have any extra lighting but I mounted Mylar panels reflecting the light back up to the shaded lower portions of my plants. Originally I used mirrors to do the same thing but they're heavy and breakable hence dangerous. Either results in buds all the way down to the planting deck, small buds, as you observed, but still very sweet.

LR21.jpgokay thanks for the tips i really appreciate it. My motivation for extra large buds came orginally from the picture i attached

Isch91: those are beauties. Do you know what strain that is? It's not what I've got. What do you know about that picture; the variety they're growing, what nutrients they've using, etc. I've had some decent grows but nothing that good. Please share your information.

Sour diesel, no idea of the nutrients. they're using 3 60W CFLS on each side as you can see . Apparently they skipped vege and went straight to flower (used 12/12 timer immediately) . I want mine to look like those!!!

Isch91: Oh my God! I'd like to know more about that grow. What strain was it? What nutes and light schedule did you use? That's beautiful.
HSA: strain is sour diesel, a old colleague of mine grew these, hes unsure of the nutes because he gave them away . as for light schedule he used 12/12 the entire grow
