The cheap no name 6500k bulbs that came with my t5 produced some frosty potent bud. A little less in the yield department but made up for it with quality.

Most bulbs in the 5000-6500k range produce enough red anyways.

Again, I'm going to run it with just the veg switch on (blues) and see how things go. I also have it about 3 feet above the canopy

The pseudo-science that was proffered back when there were no reasonably priced white diodes, so the carpetbaggers introduced burple lights for horticulture. They're OK for non fruiting plants, but even then, white is better for the plants AND for the growers eyes

There is more to plants than just photosynthesis. There is also photomorphogenesis which control auxins, flavins and have nothing to do with chlorophyll. Plants have many more light sensors (phytochromes, cryptochromes, phototropins...) which receive different wavelengths not just a few spikes.

Does a plant not create Auxin if it is exposed to only blue and red? Is UV within that PAR graph? Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there a reason people use green lights during flower?

Still don't know if having the ability to detect green light correlates to needing it. Doesn't sound like efficient use. A tool for the box maybe.
