Hey guys, new here and although i have done a lot of background reading, I still have some questions before I switch to DIY LED for my second grow
1. So i've seen a few DIY grows where
i think the individual LEDs are only 0.7W? I was under the impression that anything that wasn't 3w or 5w wouldnt be enough (light penetration, i guess). Are 1W LEDs going to give good results if you have enough of them?
2. Some guys seem to use bright white LEDs in their setups. From what i understand is this not simply wasteful compared to red and blue light? Is it worth rounding off with a couple maybe? What about infrared?
3. More specifically: is 620nm red light OK, or will it do significantly worse than ~660nm red? What about ~455nm for blue? That should be ok, right? And leading on from above: I could integrate IR pretty easily it seems, is it worthwhile? If so, how much should i put into my ratio?
4. I'm doing a micro/stealth cab, so I will most likely only veg for a week or so before flower. For this reason im going to use approx 85% red and 15% blue. Is this smart? My total wattage will be around 75~100W. Is this too much for a small cab ( approx 1' x 3')?
