Yesterday I bought a box of worms grabbed my fishin' pole and went cat fishing, needless to say I used up all the worms and caught one tiny catfish they always know how to pick off my worm with out me noticing!

Okay I know what you are thinking what does fishing have to do with rollitup and what is this guy going on about.. Well here It goes.

I was about to throw out my box of worms which was now just an empty box filled with worm castings when I had a thought run through my head " I wonder, if I mixed these castings with my soil would it have a positive effect on my little ladies?".

So I kept the box went home and did a little research. Recently research is being done on the worm castings magnificent ability to add vigor to your plants if you add 1 part worm castings to every 9 parts soil. You can add 150% more root growth. And if you were to compose a tea yes "tea" out of castings ( grab fill able tea bags and add the worm castings and brew them in warm not hot water) dilute the solution 1 part casting liquid 5 parts water and feed your plants once a week you could increase your bloom (bud) sites by 20% you can continue your regular nute cycle as well because the castings isn't as much nutrients as it is a way to create healthy flora in the soil. The worms diet consists of decomposing elements when the worm passes these materials it release many micro bacteria that aid in the break down of nutrients and maintaining a diverse micro environment which protects and fortifies your plants from roots to leaf protecting your plant from disease and root complications, size, and other positive outcomes. Think of worm castings as activia yogurt for plants. I know this information isn't life changing but it might change the way you think about soil composition and maybe next time you will be able to create a healthier soil because of this thread.

( I know worm castings from a box of worms isn't nearly as beneficial as worm castings from a composte)

Might just go by myself a compost box!!

Below are some links to back up what I have told you it is interesting have a look.

I guess I was just left out of the loop the worm castings was news to me so I guess it will inform some unknowing idividuals. As for the hook barbs I know I should have used them. But since I was only cat fishing I left most of my tackle and to be honest my ROOR was getting most of my attention lol. But thanks for the tip.

Completely off topic---

Next time you go catfishing, start the night before. (Okie white trash fishin' trick to follow).
Get a half-dozen can of the cheapest canned dog food you can find. Poke holes in each can.
Toss the cans inside a burlap sack and tie the top closed. Throw the bag in the water near where
you plan on fishing. Cheap dog food is full of grease ond oils that leach into the water and call
every bottom-feeder for 3 counties (white trash exageration). If you get stopped walking up to
the water with a sack of dog food you never heard of the word "chum".

Good luck, BigSteve.
