Fuck the laser, look at those mushies! Ok, the laser is pretty cool too, but damn, look at those mushies! That one is 70 grams by itself! I would love to eat that one.
Over the last couple days I have started researching how to grow shrooms and I am half way to convincing myself to do it.
How long have you been growing?
How hard was it to get started?
What did you use as your substrate? Rye seed? Then you put a casing over it?
Did you use a pressure cooker to sterilize?
What kind of yield did you pull from that?
How do you keep humidity up?

Sorry for the questionnaire but I was very impressed with your noom noooms.

this was my first grow and it lasted only about 3 months. its very easy all the info is online it just takes a bit of money to start a large project like what i did.
yes i used rye grass seed, PCed. i never really kept track but i pulled at least 6 oz's.
i made mini tubs with no casing layer and used a cool mist humidifier.

Thanks for the info. I really think I am going to have to give this a try. How many of those trays did you do? Sounds like you went all out. I'm not afraid to shell out some cash if I can get decent results (I'd be thrilled with 1oz dry). How much money did it take? I don't have to go as big time as you. I'm sure the cool mist humidifier makes the process a lot less labor intensive.

fdd, what's wrong with the big pics? I have been using them in my grow journal. No good? And what are you doing snooping around the shroomies? If you grow mushrooms as well as you grow trees...

they are too hard to see. i can't see the whole pic at once and it's all in my face. smaller pics are easier on the eyes. just some food for thought.

i love looking at shroomey pics. i grew them once but couldn't really take pics because of my location and involvement with other things. i really wish i could grow mushrooms all the time.

i had about 6 trays goin at all times. im not sure how much money is needed because a good friend of mine gave me all the equipment to grow. you could probly get everything you need for under 200.
