Some artisan insight

Hello rollitup, the name is Kyle, I am 20, I am from Tennessee but I live in Alaska. I go to UAA here in Anchorage. I have been lurking here for a while but felt that it's time for me to pop up from the cold.

My first grow was alright; I made the mistake of letting my friend start it for me with almost no research on my part. Managed to pull 2 ounces off 4 auto-flowers (2 delicious diavolos and 2 delicious la divas) and about 14 grams off of a fruity chronic juice under a 250w cfl. My nutes were some shit that looked like a teabag from the company I got the seeds from, which btw, I don't even know the name of since I didn't even order them. Word of advice; don't let some shit for brains who smoked pot 1 time convince you that he is an artisan grower. Should be the first rule to growing. But you live and you learn. This time around, I have been compiling research for about 7 months, reading forums, guides, magazines, etc. My next step is to put this shit into motion.

My 2nd grow, which is still in the works, consist of a secret jardin dr60 II which is stuffed into my closet, a hortilux 400w hps, 400w digital phantom ballast, cool tube, fans, filters, timers, etc, with some mufflers to silence them. My neighbor is an undercover cop, which is fine because I live in Alaska and I'm protected under Alaska's Right to Privacy Act which decriminalizes anything under 25 plants; as long as I don't harvest them and put them in baggies. So if she creeps around my house looking for the cause of the noise I'll just slap her face. Sweet justice.

In this grow, I'm attempting to juggle a few things that I have obviously never done before; coco (65/35 perlite) in air pots, co2, and a scrog. Kind of a silly thing to do since I'm as novice as can be, but my girlfriend is a farmers child from Hawaii so I have confidence in our abilities to pull it off. I have ordered the coco specific nutrients line from CANNA, some cal-mag from Botanicare, and some co2 boost bucket that is supposed to work alright for a small grow, so hopefully that will suffice. My feeding system is by hand, don't want to take too many chances now.

My ultimate goal: HIGH YIELDS. Obviously, with my set up currently, I am not looking at big yields. However, you must start small to make it big. This grow will be my learning curve.
My dilemma and question: I have done lots of research in pursuit of a high yielding strain while trying to keep a decent smoke. I need people coming back to me for more. Some of the ones I have come across were Satori, Big Bud, Critical Mass, Northern Lights #5 x Haze, Power Plant, Double Dutch and my favorite: Chronic. From what I have gathered, strains that produce 1 big cola perform really well in a scrog, hence why Chronic is my #1 candidate. However, it is completely sold out. So I decided on Double Dutch, as it is a cross of my favored plant; SOLD OUT. Now I'm not sure which strain to choose and this is where I need some expert insight from the rollitup community. Which strain is for me?

I would like to conclude my manuscript by apologizing for its length. It is a great interest of mine to begin a thorough grow journal as soon as I can start my project and hopefully build a good rapport with the community. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

looks like you've been doing loads of research which is good mate I'm only on my 3rd grow but learned loads i'm currently growing big Buddha cheese and kalashnikova in a scrog
drop by and check out my grow links in signature

Thanks man. I still need an answer to my question though. I'm still not sure which strain to go with for my setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I've always been partial to the Northern Lights strains ... good indica-dominant, easy-growin, quality herb. cn

for a scrog i would try to grow sensi Mr. nice g13xhp. the branching on that plant is amazing. i heard of issues with herms so i grew out a 12 pack picked the best female and the best male and let them fuck. i now have seeds for the rest of my life that would cost me an epic amount of money. seriously too many seeds to count. the 3 months it took was well worth it. i have had 2 decent grows, one in an aerogarden and one with 5 gallon bucket DWC. i am currently growing in fox farm soil with General Organics nutrients. i have a thread labled ''dr60 test 1'' in which i described my op. some have infered that i may go a little overboard but it YOU are anything like me, after reading my threads you will probably understand why the overkill. sound, smell, temps, nutes, light, circulation, water, strain, technique; all things must be considered and dealt with, with equal care and quality.... ps i love mufflers they rock!! i have a PHat 4x22 on my 4''windtunnel and it is fucking amazing! and another ps i am going to rep you just for diligent research. i like smart people and you DO NOT really sound like a tool, fuck-head, who shits out of his mouth.
