Solar Pannels

If you put a solar pannel under a HID would it Produce power? I was just thinking:bigjoint: if you put a bunch of solar pannels on the walls or something where the wasted lights goes, Maybe it would have a battery pack to hold energy for later?

Because of the inefficient nature of solar panels. You would only be able to utilize a fraction of the light energy hitting the walls. I would imagine that this light would serve your purposes better if it were reflected to the plants. A small panel could be implemented to run a fan or a pump for a reservoir.

I have some cheap solar powered fans I was thinking of adding to my grows. After some brief experimentation, including combining a few little solar cells onto one fan, the results are disappointing. To even get these tiny little fans to spin with artificial light, i had to actually hold the panels against the bulb, blocking some of the light to the plants.
I'm sure better solar equipment would have been better, but I say you're much better off trying to reflect the unused light back at the plants.

Yea or having enough solar energy to start your generator! I was just wondering if you could get free energy off your lights. Turbine power and riverpower like a wheel well. Solar and gas power.
